[Interjection Games] Vote for Free Pirate Content for Talk Like a Pirate Day!

Product Discussion

Yar, mateys!

If ye be followin' the way me ship sits in the water, ye might've noticed that thar be more loot in me hold than is normal for a privateer o' me standing. Beings a privateer, me writ says the gover'ment what issued it owns some 40% o' me booty, minus expenses, o'course.

Being a no-good dirty pirate, howe'er, I mean ta abuse that thar expenses line there an' back again so I've got enough booty ta bury this winter.

Here's what we be doin', ye dogs! Pick any Interjection Games class, hail me ship down, and let me know which one it be. (Translation: Post your choice of Interjection Games class in this thread.) The winnarrrrrr gets a pirate makeover (Translation: pirate-themed expansion) and'll be free o'charge so it be one o' them "promotional expenditurwhatsits" that the gover'ment writ says I c'n claim.

Ineligible Classes

Tinker - upcoming hardcover
Gadgeteer - has a pirate expansion already, thank-you-very-much
Herbalist - upcoming hardcover
Brewmaster - upcoming hardco... ah, the hell with it. If you want a grog-swilling corsair archetype, I'll do it anyway!

The Herbalist would be my first choice, since she lacks underwater plants, but if it's impossible, I suppose the Animist could benefit the most from a Parrot major aspect and a Bottle of Rum minor aspect.

Onmyoji seem too serious for a pirate-y theme, but some nautical themed petitions to sea spirits would be nice as well.

As a shady (and radiant) character, the Edgewalker could definitely have a career in piracy.

And I see composition classes all have Sea Shanty available already:

"Sea Shanty (Su)
Composition Type: Melody
Compatible Classes: Breakdancer, Cantor, Harmonicist, Maestro

Sea shanties are simple tunes with an even, metronomic beat and lyrics that will interest even the scurviest of dogs... "

Bravo!

So I cast my vote to the Animist, since all the others above already have bigger books or are at least in the plans to get one (Ultimate Onmyodo =D).

Ooh, definitely casting my vote for the class I helped conceptualize. Well, one of them, at least. Animist. If I can vote twice, Breakdancer is my second choice.

Just you wait for the schemes I hope to unleash late '16 / early '17. Yes, my hardcovers are planned out that far in advance, and they keep edging ever further in the future because I continually fail to see the true scope of what I have the audacity to try to do solo :P

Let me give you a hint, and by a hint, I mean coming out and saying it in a way that'll probably damage sales of existing products: Strange Magic 2.

All three of the systems earmarked for that project already exist. I'll leave you to wonder which ones are due for a makeover.

Edit: I meant late '16, early '17.

My vote is Maestro. Preferably with a parrot familiar.

Even though it already has its own book, I've going to cast another vote for the Maestro.
However, I'd be almost as happy with any of the other composition magic classes.

Edgewalker, if I can't vote for Herbalist I vote for the Edgewalker. Just the thought of what you might do with shadows light & being underwater makes me grin.

Right, right. "Remember your monk/ninja/philosopher? Make him a pirate." Well played.

As odd as it sounds...I'd like to see Cartomancer get some love. Gambling is a natural trade on the ocean!

As a secondary choice, I'd love to see a racial archetype for Puddlings. They've gotten surprisingly little love beyond their base book beyond FCBs. You did ask for a class, I know, but just putting that out there!

Right, so if you scrape away all the attempting to get multiple votes and such, we have a tie on animist and maestro.

...I'll see if I can generate a page of content for each one.

Awesome.

Quick update!

Composition turned out to be really hard to do, so I'm just making the animist content bigger :D
