Feel free to take Renedar, even! We're done.

GM Crucible |

I don't think so. As I understand, everyone here at the table wants to continue. We'll keep him in our back pocket, though.

![]() |

I've got another game lined up, so I won't be continuing on with the group. So Merctutio's buddy could join instead.

GM Crucible |

Works for me.
@Mercutio: Remind him that it's CORE. I'd hate to get the paperwork messed up over a misunderstanding.
@All: Accidentally left my computer at work yesterday, so I (obviously) didn't get chronicles finished. Hopefully tonight.

GM Crucible |

We'll start early next week. I'll target Tuesday night.

GM Crucible |

As before, let me know if there are any issues. I will plan to remove them from my Google Drive in a couple of weeks, so make your own copy.
There were two boons on the chronicle specific to Sovereign Court. Y'all ended with a positive reputation with the nobles, so you earned the first boon as a member of the Sovereign Court.
To win the second boon you either had to a) successfully recruit either noble to the SC (your "notice" such as it is, is your faction journal card), or do *exceptionally* well in diplomancing either noble, with the SC players having a specific role in that. In the background the GM tracked (hidden) "favor points" to measure your progress with the nobles. The party did okay with the Count (needed two more points, but little opportunity for it), and needed one more with the baron, either through a successful Diplomacy roll to further improve his perception of you, or by beating all of the serpents (elephant encounter) in a single round. It's *very* tough to get the boon this way; the easier route is to attempt to recruit the Baron or the Count directly.
If you feel my decision to award the first faction-specific boon but not the second is unfair, and want to chat about it further, let's take it to PM, and I'm happy to discuss.

GM Crucible |

Gameplay thread created. Dot and/or RP, and I'll get started tonight.

GM Crucible |

Hah!
I feel a bit bad for the combat types. That scenario had about 5 opportunities for combat that you successfully (and correctly) talked around. There was only one or two "forced" battles in the whole scenario, and one of those was marked as "optional" if we were out of time. (The ice zombie. We did it anyway, but you guys are *fast*.)
One of the things pushing things a little off-balance is the party level distribution. A couple of 3rd levels in a 1–2 scenario makes combat very fast. (Even though the APL was still 1–2).
As for what's next... That's up to ya'll. This is a great group, and I'll do whatever. It can't be part of Gameday, as we won't finish in time, but I'm up for anything. Soonest I can probably start will be next Monday or Tuesday, and things will probably get interrupted for y'all for the holidays.

GM Crucible |

Speaking of Gameday ...
BOON ROLLS!
Win a boon on a 1 or a 20
GM: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Doodlevain Montafescue: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Mercutio: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Renedar the Young: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Taerel Morgenfrei: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Taklinn: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Varian Jeggare: 1d20 ⇒ 17
No re-rolls.
And no winners ... sorry.

GM Crucible |

... It doesn't look like I got any downtime rolls for anyone for "From Under Ice". If I don't hear from you, I'll go back through the previous and just take 10 on whatever you rolled last time, if that's okay.
So, get your downtime in! (And new players, please post your info.)
Lastly, please let me know if anyone wants to slow track.

Hmmm... Well, how about 'The Devil We Know' series - which is 1-7, so it has a Tier 3-4, which would still allow the lower-levels to play :-)
Alternately, if we don't want to commit to a four-part series, How about 'City of Strangers' (which is also a 1-7, and a two-parter)...?

GM Crucible |

Don't know anything about either. Thoughts from the group?

![]() |

I'm running The Devil We Know currently in standard campaign (part 3 at the moment), so I know about the story and the riddles. City of Strangers would be new to me.

![]() |

Doodle would be fine with either of those. I've played them both in standard, but a long time ago, so I don't remember anything about them.

GM Crucible |

City of Strangers, then? Does that work for everyone? ...
I guess a better question: Is anyone *not* interested in returning?
I'll ask again when I get chronicles out, but since I'm thinking about it: I always welcome feedback on GM-ing. Post it publicly here, PM me (or have a friend do it, if you wish to be anonymous). Always great to get good feedback and suggestions.

Crucible, I think you do a really good job for us. You move things along when they start to drag, and you are clear and responsive in your posts. I honestly couldn't think of anything I'd tell you to change. I enjoy your games immensely.

GM Crucible |

Thanks, Gerald.
Unabashed flattery is also welcome. ;^)

GM Crucible |

@Taklinn: I need your PFS info before I can report, and I would like to report before I distribute chronicles ...
Please report:
* Player name
* Character name
* PFS ID#
* Faction
* Day job roll (or other downtime)
You said earlier this is your first PbP (and I didn't follow up). It's common to do this early in the scenario in the discussion thread (my mistake for not pushing it).

GM Crucible |

Well, it feels like forever, but it's only been two days.
I've posted everyone's chronicle, except for Taklinn's. As with previous chronicles, I'll pull them from my Google drive after a few weeks, so make a copy!
The game is not yet reported, but I will make sure it happens.
@Mercutio, will you poke at him, since you recruited him?

GM Crucible |

Reported!
I'll get Taklinn's chronicle up tomorrow.

GM Crucible |

Taklinn's chronicle has been added.
Again, please all download these, and I will only host them for a couple of weeks before removing the chronicles from my server.
Everyone else's chronicle looks good, I hope?

GM Crucible |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

We are, I just need to get my feet under me.
I'm running four tables of "Consortium Compact", and playing in three others, all while trying to get my classes ready for the next semester and finish research from before the break.
In other words, I'm just slow. (Don't hold your characters hostage on my account! If something comes along, I won't be offended if y'all go elsewhere.)
Hopefully I'll be ready by the end of next week.

Timing works for me too. I am similarly swamped getting back into the daily routine, but should be good in a few days.

GM Crucible |

Okay. .... I'm putting together the stuff I need to run #51–City of Strangers (Part I).
I'll plan to muster Friday/weekend, and get things moving Monday.
So that I can recruit between now and then ... who is in? (Who is out?) How many spots do we need to recruit for?
This will continue to be CORE, btw.
