Some itemS ... Is plural... So we do get at least 2 promo cards with the next AD... Looks like...
It's standard English phrasing, Myfly; the "some" in "some items are not..." is etwas von Ihren rather than einige.
There's six releases and nine promo cards. Two came with the first pack and one with the second, so 2-1-2-1-2-1 is highly likely. (So says my pattern-searching brain. ;)
But yes, it's just how such things are phrased in locations where you don't want to program in an exception for exactly one of them. Sometimes you'd see a construct like "item(s)", but that's not really needed here.
We're guaranteed to get multiple promos with this one since Ekkie is shipping out this month, and we'll get at least one other promo with her. So items is correct :)

Well I'd hardly call it "highly likely" based on two releases, but yes there are multiple promos for some of the releases.
The email actually says three items, but only lists one. I did a LOL.
