Season of the Shackles 0-6D - The Pirate Party

Pathfinder Adventure Card Society

Hoping to play this tonight at the store.

Does defeating a "henchmen" in this scenario grant an opportunity to close the location? Normally defeating a villain closes the location automatically, but the scenario says to treat them like henchmen. The rules say that defeating henchmen normally gives you an opportunity to close a location and it will say so on the card. Technically the villain cards say Close the location so I am not sure what the answer is. My guess is they don't grant the opportunity, but wanted to make sure.

Thanks, Wray

They do not, at least not simply because they are henchmen. Henchmen granting close opportunities is not because of a rule, but because henchmen cards specifically say so. If I remember correctly, didn't the scenario rules say something about how to close locations?

Since the villains are considered henchmen, unless the card or scenario rules say they grant you close opportunities, they don't.

Treat the villains in the henchmen list as henchmen. If a henchman is undefeated, banish it. When you defeat a henchman from a location deck, put it in a henchman pile next to this scenario, and you may immediately attempt to close the location it came from.

Yes, defeating a villain "henchman" gives you the opportunity to close the location.

Thanks. I must have an outdated set of the PDFs as this is the second adventure in Hurricane Weather that had some updates that I don't have. Anyway, appreciate the quick responses.
