Welcome!
We're all chatterboxes here, so it should work out just fine!
Thanks for the welcome! I am loving some of your ideas(including playing a hot bard(unlike many of the other teens 'round the table, I know that I'm in the time of my life where sex is rampant)). I think there are three main reasons I am so talkative in our game:
1.) ADD2.) Grew up in a house of people who listened to my ramblings.
3.) I'm playing D&D with my friends who are all silly in their own way(for the Inheritor's sake, one of our party members is a grippli barbarian) and have one of the best DMs I know. Of course I'll end up talking my head off.

As a bit of a side note, I have been busy writing Templari's backstory. Below I'll leave a short sentence to what the events I want to do are about:
1.) Birth
2.) Starting to train as a Paladin
3.) Told of her father's past, as well as her mother's.
4.) Use Commune with Dead to speak with her dead mother
5.) Templari becoming more aware and disconnected of her rare race(nagaji)
6.) Templari meeting another nagaji, and then helping nagaji refugees find homes
7.) Knighted as a Paladin of Iomedae
8.) Mother tells her to go to an island close Azlant, where her father is buried
9.) Some details about her quest(generally level 1-4)
10.) Arriving in a low-density nagaji city, visits father's tomb and his spirit becomes her 5th level Divine Bond.
11.) Few years later, word of the quest for Saventh-Yhi reaches the Iomedae Church, and a Level 7 Templari is sent to investigate.
There will be a lot more life when I get to writing the first few parts, but when that is done I will most likely share an anon version for anyone on the thread to read.

Gladly!

Glad you do! Do bear in mind that my ideas run the gammut of "Yeah, that's pretty cool!" all the way to, "Wow, that's dumb!" and come from across several years, so, you know... opinions change!
(That said, I can be ludicrously pompous, so I really like most of my own ideas, too~! XD)

So long as you guys are having fun... everything is good! :D

Seriously though, welcome to the forum. Templari is pretty cool, why did you decide to make her a Nagaji?
When I made her a few months ago I was mostly thinking of races that give Strength/Con+Cha, because our team lacked a dedicated tank(Malek slightly works, but he gets rather useless whenever he gets dominated). Otherwise, Templari is one of my SWTOR characters, a Female Togruta Jedi Knight. I wanted to pick a rather exotic race to sorta emulate that. Now that I'm giving her some story, I saw some use for the servitor race.

Understandable. It's why I drafted up a potential GMPC for my tabletop Runelords game - an Oread Warpriest to provide the group with a tank who can provide some healing. The Oreads' bonus to both Strength and Wisdom made it a good choice (I had considered Changeling but then found out that Warpriests don't need Charisma, which let me change the build significantly).
Though if they chose not to need a GMPC, I won't mind much. I just have a feeling that giving them the option of a GMPC and having something ready might be a good idea. While it'll slow down leveling up, the fourth character also pretty much eliminates the need for them to be a level higher than what's recommended.

I actually know next to nothing about Doctor Who, besides the cliches, despite my dad watching it on PBS every weekend (Bob Ross, the astronomy guy, Cajun Cook, and This Old House were also required watching for my dad).
Also when I made him he was for Reign of Winter, but the family likes Iron Gods way more, and so do I. :-)

Dinner with the Muse
The first to speak with the Muse (and roleplayed out both before and after dinner started) was Athelya, who wanted permission to cast Mending on some of the discarded masterworks around the promenade with the intent of returning them to the Pathfinders. The Muse had no objection to this, and watched bemusedly as Athelya picked out various items (an instrument, a painting, a sculpture, etc.) and mended them. Athelya looked about, and noticed that she didn't see any books or scrolls.
"M'Lady, is there a library or a place of research where you keep all your books?"
The Muse looked a bit distraught. "Something... happened. I do not know what. I know that I had a tribe before this one. And something happened. With books. I do not remember it at all. But when I awoke from my waking dream my tribe was dead and all the books destroyed. Since then I do not care for books here."
The ongoing discussion of the kids' theories as to why she really won't allow books is quite the entertainment...
Another important event I forgot to mention was when Irwin was about to do his run, they asked about whether she'd be able to cure him, and she admitted that they were almost out of the salve that would restore him. The party offered to obtain some for her, so she handed them 12,000 g.p. worth of diamonds (!!) to purchase her additional doses of Stone Salve for her people.
Anyway, the rest of these are all e-mail discussions over the course of the week, formatted as best as I can given the circumstances:
Templari's Questions of Osond and his warriors:
| NH > The standard patrol member is a low-level ranger/rogue, bow-focused, with feats for getting sneak attack damage at range. Big surprise!
| NH > They had blocked off the southeastern border, so it came in along the northern part of the border and slaughtered a 3-man patrol.
| NH > No; it only leaves death in its wake.
| NH > Longer than any of us have been alive. She was a witness to Ranjitha's birth. Tales tell of our people finding this great city, but monstrous creatures slew many. The chieftan fled southwards, ever southwards, assuring the people that their salvation was in flight. He took the form of a colored bird, and let the people south, fleeing a horde of screaming monkey-demons. As the tribe crossed the river, certain that their doom was at hand because their younglings could no longer keep up, the Muse arose in all of her fury and splendor. Many monkey-demons died that day, and their statues litter the bottom of the river. She has been our protectress since that day, and has taught us art, and culture, and prosperity. And every chieftan wears colorful feathers in honor of the first chieftan's great leadership.
| NH > When the creature first started its attacks four months ago, it came every night, preying on lone guards, painters capturing the stars, wayward teens, or other single targets. As the tribe became aware of the threat, increased their patrols, and convinced people to stop walking alone, the creature started coming less often and preying on livestock as well as humans. Every time they take a countermeasure (bigger patrols, fewer people, protected livestock), it becomes more brazen (creeping in windows to steal children, killing entire families in their beds). The latest attack that killed a patrol of 3 warriors convinced Osond to increase the patrol size to 4, but the creature still attacks roughly once a week. It has been 3 days since the last attack.
| NH > There is no possible way for you to know this. You know he is a druid, hence Wisdom-based. His level is roughly comparable to yours. Other than that, you cannot tell.
| NH > Roughly 150 of the 280 total residents could be considered able-bodied warriors. The rest are too young, too old, too infirm, or too poorly-trained to be anything better than warrior-1's.
Templari's Questions of the Muse
| NH > None have seen it. We only know it by its tracks and by the markings it leaves in the ground. It is bestial, but it drains blood like a vampire. I do not know what it could be.
| NH > There is a very long pause. "I know the feeling of the spire when it is awake. I know it when it sleeps. I do not know when it was last awake. I... do not remember well. I remember fire. And destruction. And despair..." and she trails off into tears, and will not speak of the matter again.
| NH > I do not know. A human lifetime? A dozen? I do not count time as you do. I cannot know this.
| NH > I do not know. Who was she?
| NH > She pauses, brow furrowed in thought as if trying to remember something.
"Your story... has the ring of truth to it. But it has been too long. I remember too little of what once was, or even what is. I do not know whether I knew this person. I am sorry I cannot help you, as you are helping me."
| NH > That is but a trivial thing. Once you have slain this bloodsucker that plagues my people, you are welcome to stay here, and I will teach you the ancient tongue."
Athelya's Questions of Osond and his warriors:
| NH > During the summer, once per 1-2 weeks. During the other seasons, once per 1-2 months.
| NH > No means no. No one that you have encountered other than you has encountered the monster.
| NH > Don't get near them. This is an entire tribe of archers. There's a reason the trogs don't attack them.
Kwai Chang's Questions to anyone in general:
| NH > OK. I admit it. I only included this because I found it amusing.
| NH > They were both colorful birds, but the chieftan turned into a small green parrot with yellow, blue, and red highlights. This bird is gargantuan and red. The people make no connection, other than both have colorful feathers.
| NH > The entrance to the city is at the northwestern corner. If you head due south, you get to the artisan district. If you then go east to the southeast corner, that is where the bird is rumored to be.
Voren's Questions of Osond:
| NH > Osond smiles knowingly at you. "Oh, do not think you can fool me so easily, young tiefling. That is YOUR quest to complete, not mine. Trust that the Muse has not tasked you with the impossible."
| NH > "Do you mean locations? Areas? I do not understand how one 'passes through a condition'. But in any case, no; our best scouts find that its senses are keener than ours <ooc>Don't forget they're humans, with not even low-light vision</ooc>, so it searches our perimeter for openings and moves in. Unless you have someone whose senses are keener than its, I do not know what you could do..."

A Less Heroic Animal Companion
Dinner with the Muse wrapped up as Malek admitted that he was a great warrior, except for the fact that he got Dominated so frequently. The Muse gazed at him, said, "But this is not a problem," and Dominated him. His massive 22 Will save was almost enough, but he fell into an all-too-familiar trance of, "Yes, Mistress."
"Malek, I command you to obey your own free will, and not listen to me nor anyone else."
"Yes, Mistress."
The party thanked her tremendously, but she cautioned that it was only a stopgap; any creature who could overcome her power (caster level check) could still Dominate him, and she was not that powerful a caster. But it was something to at least give him a small amount of protection for nearly two weeks.
At Templari's insistence, the party went in search of the werevampirewolf. Heron had no trouble picking up its scent from the scene of the previous attack, and he and Hooken tracked the creature to the river, where it cleverly walked along the bottom of the riverbed to avoid detection. This told the party that they were not dealing with an ordinary vampire; such creatures were destroyed by flowing water.
Perhaps the most hilarious part of the evening was watching the party try to get across a 40' river. Kwai Chang leapt across the distance easily. (Monks do do SOME things very well.) He had a rope with him, and Athelya Levitated Templari so Kwai Chang could tow her across the river like a giant plate-mail-clad balloon. Heron, Hooken, and Malek swam the river without a second thought. Voren tried to swim, but ended up splashing around immediately next to the bank, like a toddler throwing a tantrum in the kiddie pool. Malek sighed, swam back, and towed Voren across, the DC 20 Swim check no harder for him that the DC 10 before it. So Voren had to sit there, getting towed along by a 2' tall frog in full armor, because he couldn't swim his own darned self. Athelya did Voren one better by rolling a natural 1 on her Swim roll, and needed rescue from drowning by a now-totally-accustomed-to-this Malek. Much to my disappointment, Malek did not do the, "I saved you, now you have to luh-uh-uh-uh-uhve me," song.
The rest of the evening was only hilarious because Impus Minor kept crowing about his new "animal companion" Ratty, a rat he had noticed in the grain silos in the farming district, and whom he had charmed using his Wild Empathy.
So when they approached the abandoned barn containing the vrykolakas, it was just an epic instance of, "Sometimes, the bad guys just don't get a break."
Hooken's natural 20 on Perception ensured that its "surprise round" consisted of Hooken watching the poor thing creep through the underbrush towards the party, and then, "Surprise!" charm Heron.
Didn't much matter. Voren Hasted the party and the poor vampirekin met a paladin Smiting Evil and Malek. And of course the paladin had to crit for good measure, because an AC 23, 152-hit-point BBEG really should be one-rounded by a 9th-level party, right?
Yeah. It was Bad.
But then I got to play with Ratty. He was there. The vrykolarkas wanted revenge. So it possessed Ratty. It was *almost* over right there as Impus Minor rolled a 17 for Ratty's Will save, but it wasn't quite enough.
Unfortunately, the moment the vrykolarkas' body evaporated, the whole party cried, "Foul!" and Templari started spamming Detect Evil. So Hooken's massive Perception allowed him to notice Ratty attempting to escape, and Templari's Detect Evil told them exactly where the vrykolarkas' soul had run off to. A few rounds of, "I am a rat, fear my CMB!" later, and the party had the rat trussed up, knocked out, and tied to one of those poles (you know the ones, where two victorious hunters bring a prize boar home. But they had a rat. A random rat. Possessed by a vile undead soul.)
And they brought the rat back to the Muse. The "Lillend Azata with 12 levels of bard and a mythic tier" Muse. It took them all of 2 minutes of excellent roleplay (good job, kids!) to remind her who they were (Osond wasn't around), what they were doing, and that the rat was full of evil vampire soul.
She turned to Hooken earnestly. "Are you attached to this rat, youngling?"
"No, not really. I just found it in a grain silo and thought it was funny."
Never have such words so utterly doomed a rat.
Up, up into the air for the Muse's target practice it went. On the bright side, it made the Fortitude save with a natural 20 and didn't turn to stone. On the down side, it took over 40 points of damage from one shot from her bow, which was slightly more than its 12 hit points and Con of 11 would permit.
The vrykolarkas died in a very, very ignominious manner.
So Templari is now welcome in the Muse's territory, and the party has returned to the Pathfinders to sell loot and go shopping...

Oh, geez, you are 100% correct. Which pretty much makes him immune to Dominate for 2 weeks.
Caster level check against a level 12 bard? Not so bad at the level of creatures meandering about the ruins.
Charisma check against a Charisma 28 bard? Eew. Not so much... Is there anyone else in the city who even tops 20?
Now I'm all curious...

i looked Vrykolakas up. CR 10, undead, energy drain, disease. I think that our one group must have brought a box full of rabbit feet and 4 leaf clovers, enough glue to hold down every salt shakers for a five mile radius, planned for our attack to take place on the 6 months after Friday the 13th, and broken off the bigger end of 7 wishbones. Its the only logical explanation.

Baseline advanced serpentfolk have Charisma 16. One with heroic levels will probably have 18 or 20, depending on exact placement of heroic bonuses.

CR 10 Undead with Energy Drain and disease. "Undead" is almost music to Templari's ears, we have so much money that whoever caught bubonic plague could be cured when we got to camp, and our two people who would dare to venture so close to such a beast would be Templari/Malek, and Malek has an amazing Fort save while Templari is immune to diseases. The one round the Vrykolakas did anything was to the person who did a quarter of his hit-points(guess who) and then scraped one level off that I got back the same night.
Then again, I did almost do a double critical.

Well, the GM finally succumbed to the nastiness that's been going around. I think it says something that I had the day off from work yesterday, and could have done anything I felt like, but an hour of Rift while lying in bed was too exhausting for me, so I mostly just napped.
I love my players. They asked, "Can't you run it remotely?"
Er... when I can't even play a video game while lying in bed, I just don't see running a game...
Anyway, updates next week!

Fortunately she has a lot of hit points! Besides, it can't be that much damage! Templari's like, 5'9" at most, and even the largest goblin baby, can't be more than, like a foot! That's less than 10 feet! That's how that works, right?!

DeadyMcDeadDead Goes for the Record, or, "Why you should listen when the GM asks, 'Really!?!?!?'"
Last night's session was fascinating primarily because for our other game (Crimson Throne) we're discussing player/GM communication, and in this game it's pretty much, "The GM said what?"
The group decided to forego shopping in order to obtain the roc-sized parrot's feathers in time for Osond's birthday. I've got to say, I'm pretty darned proud of the kids for taking their, "Get the flamboyant NPC his birthday feathers in time in lieu of buying useful equipment" attitude to heart. They came up with a rather brilliant plan (after much yelling, name-calling, and general silliness, of course): Voren used Alter Self on Kwai Chang to make him look as cloudlike as possible (he has that OP alchemist feat to use Personal spells on others) (and yes, all we needed was for Kwai Chang's player to start singing, "I'm a little black rain cloud," to make the evening complete. But he didn't, much to my disappointment). Then they cast Fly on him and had him circumnavigate the troglodyte area.
It was a rather hilarious discussion, to say the least. "What's the Perception modifier to see something in the sky?" "-20." "OK, what if we make him look like a rain cloud?" "Well, if you roll a good Disguise I suppose I'd let you drop it to -10." "What if we use Alter Self to make him really look like a cloud?" "What's your Disguise skill?"
After many negotiations, we agreed that the Perception DC to see him was a whopping -5, modified by distance. So he decided to fly at 200' in the air, so anything with a half-decent Perception (15 or higher) would see him, but nothing else would.
Unfortunately for the general silliness, the trogs didn't have even a +5 to Perception, so he flew over their territory, an innocent black cloud on the horizon. They had asked the vegepygmies where they might find the bird, but I didn't have to say a word. The moment I rolled a natural 1, the group laughed and said, "Oh, I guess they're plants. They never look at the sky, huh?"
My only disappointment was that no one mentioned drowning in the rain because they were too stupid to stop looking at the sky. But anyway, the vegepygmies were friendly as usual, but useless as usual as well.
So Kwai Chang flew nonchalantly past the ziggurat, over the ruined temple to Pharasma, observed many troglodyte patrols that didn't see him (HIS Perception was more than +5), and finally spotted the great bird's nest, with the bird half-dozing within. He flew back by way of Savith's Tomb, succeeding at the massive DC 28 Will save to approach it, but decided once he felt the effect of the protections that approaching closer would be unwise.
Stupid pesky wise players!
A massive Knowledge: Arcana allowed them to figure out from Kwai Chang's description that they were facing a "camulatz"; an evil, intelligent bird holy to the demon lord Pazuzu. Templari immediately wanted to run in and kill the bird. The rest of the party wanted to respect the letter of the Muse's wishes and sneak in to steal feathers and leave it be. The best plan at this point was to disguise Kwai Chang as an egg and have him sneak into its nest. Much to my dismay, this plan was discarded.
So the party started off circumnavigating troglodyte territory, close enough to the cliff that they did not run the risk of running into Yog O'Ltha (they have declared him, "Mr. Personality"), but far enough out they weren't approaching the ruined temple or the trog territory. Unfortunately for them, the natural 1's were flying fast and furious that night, and they had an encounter. Fortunately for them, the percentile dice were in their favor, and the encounter was... the camulatz!
It was almost a decent fight. The camulatz' high AC kept Hooken from killing it outright in the first two rounds, and it picked up and carried off Malek. Everyone was dismayed: They were about to lose their only PC with a perfect survival record. Athelya learned that close range spells are not particularly useful against fast-flying opponents when she put Levitate on Malek, only to have the camulatz carry him well outside of her spell range (and thus break the spell) the very same round. Those who could fly flew after the camulatz, while those on the ground used Voren's Haste spell to run after it.
Then came the real, "Huh?" moment.
Kwai Chang was the first to run through Pharasma's temple. I said, "OK, you need to roll 1d20."
"Why?"
"Because if you roll under a 10 you're pretty much dead."
He rolled an 11. No one thought any more of it...
...and then Templari ignored what had just happened and ran through the temple!
So she rolled a natural 1, and was promptly surrounded by 4 insane ghosts. In a moment a true paladin brilliance, she just kept running at full speed while Hasted. The ghosts couldn't keep up, and wouldn't leave the temple grounds, so Templari was safe.
A couple of rather pointless rounds with the camulatz ensued: Athelya taunted it, so it dropped Malek (the 4d6 of falling damage barely amused him) and bit her. She used her failsafe (a Fireball and her Cloak of Fiery Vanishing) to escape. Hooken wasn't hitting often, but his damage was adding up. The camulatz decided it had had enough and fled. Kwai Chang convinced the rest of the party to let it go, as they had plenty of feathers from the fight. However, in the middle of all of this, Voren told me he was going to run through the temple. "The temple full of now-active, angry ghosts?"
"Yes. I'm hasted."
"Yes, but it's more than a round through the temple. You'll have to be stopped for a round inside the temple. They'll likely get an attack on you."
"Oh, OK. I'll delay then."
He then convinced Deady McDeaddead to send Irwin running in. Have I mentioned I LOVE my players? Even better, Voren followed Irwin!
So in spite of my ghosts being bound to the temple ground, and being too slow to keep up with the running players, they had TWO targets who had willingly popped right into the temple.
I just rolled 1d6 saying, "Odd Irwin, even Voren". Irwin was hit by 3 of the 4 ghosts, took 71 hit points, and managed an Acrobatics check to avoid their attacks of opportunity to escape the temple with ONE hit point left. Voren took one attack of opportunity (also missed) and also fled.
So yeah, the camulatz was an anticlimactic battle; carrying Malek around was entertaining, but eventually fruitless as it never got to stop running away to kill him. Hooken's just too deadly at range, and a Hasted party can keep up with it too easily.
But the ghosts, oh, the ghosts.
Templari even pondered going in to fight them post-session. I just asked, "So, you're watching them do 28d6 a round, and your channel does 4d6. And you're going to win that fight how?"
He finally chose discretion...
