Trickster and marshal can both work well for an artisan. Trickster suggests a UMD or ranged combat build, while marshal can be used off any Artisan build pretty nicely.

Champion and guardian are too martial-focused, while archmage and hierophant are only really for casters. Creationist archetype has a bunch of SLAs, but I wouldn't recommend taking archmage with it since it's too narrow.
If you're looking for a Hephaestus build, I think I can whip a partial one up.

Your total cost reduction is 35%; this is further reduced by 5% per Creation Feat used in stacking.
Your total time reduction is 50%, 60% within your crafter's art. This is doubled by Mythic Craft to 75% or 80% respectively (thus, you create items outside your art at a base of 4k / day, and within your art at 5k / day.)
Since we are already talking 3pp, the Genius Path from Legendary Game's Mythic Heroes Handbook should work quite well.
