I think this thread has demonstrated that there is no one concept that seems to even come close to appealing to everyone.

Vic, can you tell us where you and Ultra-Pro are with the other storage box?

I haven't seen a revision on that in quite some time.

So just providing a plain collectors box with generic pathfinder art on it ... No insert...

Isnt this something anybody wants at least?

Sovereign Court

So just an empty box that we have to do everything else with on our own?

No, I really don't want to see that. I'd rather even see a product with half its space filled by empty class deck boxes. If you're at the point where you're OK with an empty box with Pathfinder art, that's when you find someone selling an empty PACG box online.

Also, "generic" and "collector's" should never ever be in the same sentence haha.

The question isn't whether 'anybody' wants it - the question is whether enough people would be prepared to pay enough for it to make it an economically feasible product.

Well, so lets show your commitment in this way below.

Just put all character images of the 31+6 classes on the collectors box and ready is your generic box to collect and store

- pacg miniatures
- class decks
- store your adv path sleeved
- my premium playmats
- ultra-pro playmats
- etc...

Generic and collector go in one sentence. Haha.

So Paizo's new motto should be:

Buy, play, collect and store!
We got lots of empty storage boxes for you!

There is a history of Paizo selling empty storage boxes for stuff, maybe that's enough for you?

GameMastery-Treasure-Chest-Empty-Box

... Collect and store are right now not optimal.

COLLECT
Collectors buy all PACG stuff there is... So keep them right next to your heart! :)
... With a smart and ingenious storage solution.

STORE
When customers keep storing the PACG stuff and not reselling it on ebay when they are done with it... Will give PAIZO for every copy stored another (!) 180 USD. So you could double the sale numbers at its best.

Do you know why?

If there are no resellers (or even less) on ebay offering for half price, potential new customers have to buy the new version for full price 180usd. So PAIZOs strategy should be to optimize the storability to its max to get more money out of it...

These are so simple strategies - when you consider an empty box will cost 2 USD - come on PAIZO you already did it for another product line and you can do it again !

MyFly, the problem isn't that you've demonstrated a need for some sort of storage but

1) that there isn't a common solution
2) Paizo isn't really interested in producing something to store the class decks. (You may think it is easy and doesn't take time but it does. And these resources are better used for newer products. Also, there is still a storage option on the table ... that's going nowhere.)
3) Paizo doesn't manufacture this stuff so it would require designing and licensing.
4) while they sold empty boxes for the map tiles, the map tiles didn't come in a container already. Class decks do. Ultra-Pro already has single deck sized boxes.

The only way this is going to work is if you find a way to get this produced on your end. (Which is what I was implying a little while back.)
