Total vanity post, but after 12 years off-and-on (mostly off) playing "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance" for the GameCube I *finally* unlocked Drizzt Do'Urden as a playable character. Yes I'm slow, but persistence pays off!
Then you find out that Drizzt is awful statistically (or was that Dark Alliance 2, which also had Artemis Entreri if I remember correctly).

It's not so much that Drizzt is bad statistically as it is that his highest stat (Dexterity) is useless in the game. Plus, since he's not allowed to change weapons, your only distance attack is the ice spell (what?).

Wow, it's been awhile. Doesn't that merely mean you finally beat the game?
Congrats.
That's a fun one. I beat BG:DA but never could get through the second BG:DA.
I did beat Champions of Norrath however, that one was a blast too!
Thanks!
To unlock Drizzt you have to beat the game, beat the Gauntlet, and then beat the game on Extreme (where your 17th-level character has difficulty beating the rats at the beginning, and your resulting gameplay as a non-sorceress consists of strategic blocking).

Even more congrats to you.
Back in the day I managed the same thing with Drizzt in BGDA I, but never did the same thing in BGDA II (also could never even get through the game, lost interest rather quickly with the second one).
BGDA and those types used to be my favorite type of game on the PS2. I also loved the Norrath series, Xmen Legends series, and Justice League (best DC game EVER!).
