Do Pathfinder ID numbers expire?

I'm returning to the game after about a year and I noticed that it wanted me to register again and gave me a new ID number. This means that I basically have to start all over. Is there a way to fix this? I still have my original ID card printed out, does that help? I'm reluctant to create a new character on the new ID if there is a way to restore my old one. Anyone have any advice?

It shouldn't expire, as far as I know. It's tied to your Paizo account, so you might want to contact Customer Service.

Is it possible you forgot your account and created another one? It only shows you having made one post, unless of course this is the first time you've ever posted to the forums...
