Hey all! I have a Steelblood archetype Bloodrager, and I want to make use of her heavy armor proficiency. The question is: what armor to buy, and whether adamantine heavy armor is a worthwhile investment.
She's still only level 2, and I haven't made any upgrades or replacements to the scale mail she started with. With a starting Dexterity of 14, should I invest in some heavy armor early, and then sell it when I can afford adamantine? Should I not bother with adamantine? Are there any specific magic armors it's good to aim for as a character with minimally reduced move speed in armor and Armor Training?

Adamantine is - outside of corner cases - too expensive for the value you get out of it. By the time you can afford it, DR 3/- just isn't that valuable.
If you really want special material armor - you'd be better off getting mithril full plate to have your armor be 1-2 points higher (with 14dex, 1 point to start - you can eventually boost it to 16). That extra AC will give you just as much mileage - and mithril heavy armor is 6,000 gp cheaper than adamantine. (Debatable whether it's worth waiting that long - but it won't be AS long. You still won't be able to afford the 10,500gp until level 4-5. Long wait.)
If you haven't played at level 2 yet (and can then rebuild) you may want to trade your scale armor for four-mirror armor to give you +1 AC & save 5gp.

Though keep in mind for PFS you would need to have the appropriate additional resource for 4-mirror armor (I believe that it is in Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Equipment).
