...a huge deal has been made of how goblins are going to be a playable race in the new 2.0 Pathfinder.

This is a race that in-canon is terrified of written words and by nature is disruptive and doesn't work well together save with others of their race. They are hardly the perfect fit (unless a lot of plot shenanigans happen) for a Society that prides itself on Explore *REPORT* Cooperate.

Look to 1.0 and all the illiterate classes more or less being banned for insight in this direction.

The thing that has brought me over to Pathfinder Society has been tengu.

No other big organized play really has them.

Respectfully request that tengu be made available at earliest convenience in 2.0, before even tieflings or aasimar or other races.

Thank you very much for your time in advance.

EDIT: In 1.0 Tengu had modifiers to Perception and a signficant modifier to Linguistics. These, even if translated, would be a far better fit for a society that's built around exploration of strange new places.

I have a hearty hearty agree to both parts of this post. Goblins seem like a REALLY REALLY bad fit for Pathfinder Society unless you are going to somehow introduce a more civilized goblin soon (and honestly, please don't. Goblins are delightful as is, they just aren't PFS material).

Meanwhile, I can speak for a strong plurality of my local players when I say that the Eastern races - MOST ESPECIALLY the Tengu and the Kitsune but the Nagaji and Wayangs too honestly - are a huge huge draw for us over D&D AL. They provide roleplaying opportunities and types that simply do not exist elsewhere. PFS has done a wonderful job of developing a lot of content for these races and for the Dragon Empires in general and I would hate to see that halted just because of the edition change.
