Middle-aged academic dad and college-aged daughter looking to start or join a gaming group in Boerne, Texas. Two experienced players, one experienced DM/GM. Role-players, not roll players. Setting negotiable. Non-smokers with cats.
Preferably D&D 5th edition. Will also consider Pathfinder or Swords & Wizardry Complete.

Well there are plenty of Pathfinder games in San Antonio. A lot of PFS but from what I rememeber you don't play PFS right?
I am trying to get a party together for a Call of Cthulhu game set in the 20s following to Orient Express. Will be a bit before it starts but will be introducing the setting through email once I have 5 players. Interested? Don't worry about not knowing the game, it is easy to learn.
One problem have to be willing to drive to Cibolo every other Saturday.

Yeah, I really appreciate what you do with the PFS in San Antonio, Dragnmoon. I did actually have a fun time when I gave PFS a try, but it doesn't really hit the itch that I want to scratch: the kind of play experience that arises in a home game where you really get to explore certain characters, settings, etc. with the same people over time.
Thanks for the CoC invite. I'd love to give it a try, but you hit on the real issue: the drive to Cibolo. I have 1-3 more players from Atkins if I could meet them halfway, but even that has really proved to be too much. The demands of life are such that I need to have a game up here to fit into my packed life in terms of time.

I will ask my Friends in Boerne if they are interested. They are a family of 3 that play together. As far as I am aware though none of them have ever ran a home game, only played in them.
