"I, THARGAR THE BLOODY, KING OF ERUTHA, SLAYER OF FLAME THE ANCIENT DRAGON, CHAMPION OF TELGAR THE KING OF THE GODS, WILL NOW LISTEN TO YOU. WHY DID YOU SEEK AN AUDIENCE?"
A scuffle and some whispering ensued from the little group, while the king patiently watched the motley group. Eventually, one among the group stepped forward. On his shoulder was a brightly coloured parrot. It met the king's gaze with one baleful eye.
"POLLY WANT A CRACKER!"

I didn't have the scorpion, but I had the ifrit Wild at Heart racial ability with Improved Init and Reactionary in my initial build. Decided that a +13 was a bit more than required so I rebuilt my chacter with a more reasonable +7. Now that I think about it, a +17 Init would be even more awesome!

41. Familiar can be worn as a "fur coat" to an extravaganza. When the "fur coat" is hung in the guest closet, the familiar goes to work - robbing the other patrons or spying for the master.
Bonus: Leaving droppings in the other patrons coat pockets.
That Sir, is brilliant. Provided of course that the coat checker doesn't realize he is handling a live animal.

43: emergency hidden poison stash that's generally socially acceptable for casters to have on their person
Of course this is just for things like vipers and scorpions and whatnot
I have a bartender with a viper familiar in an awesome intrigue game
Handy tidbit: alcohol always detects the same "poison present" result from a detect poison spell whether you've spiked it with viper venom or not

44. Loofah.
45. Teach the familiar how to light tindertwigs and set them to work lighting the bombs you planted all over the BBEG's base.
46. Pretend to be under a very weird curse where the familiar is actually the wizard and the wizard is actually the familiar. Surprise BBEGs when they think the cat they just locked up is the main spellcaster by fireballing them.

Doesn't apply to a wizard's familiar, but paladin's familiars (from the Chosen One archetype) can Lay on Paws. I just love that name, though I call it "Lay on Beak" when I do it, since I have a thrush familiar for mine.

Well, the best uses I have ever seen for a familiar is as a scout or informant. However the current Wizard in my group is using his as a assistant crafter of magic items, using a Valet archetype from the Animal Archive and giving it a Ring of Sustenance so it has more time to craft items with the Wizard.
