Players we have posted a new dev blog about the Short Term Roadmap and I've created a thread on Goblinworks.com to discuss it!

Feat training is capped by a player's own settlement level, regardless of location

What does this mean? I assume there's some mechanic I don't know about—the alternative reading is that I can't train classes my own settlement doesn't grant, which, yeah, not too likely.

Vanity Items for Purchase

Bye, wallet.

Pity. Now where am I going to keep my money?

Add emotes to game

Brilliant!

Y'know, it'd be cool if there was a rogue ability to move yourself to the back of the tab-targeting queue. Really handy for an opportunist.

If I understand it correctly, this is how it will work:

Let's say that Tavernhold has control of enough towers to enable training up to Rank 7, and our allies in Stoneroot Glade have control of even more towers, enabling them to train up to Rank 10.

If Grickin, I mean your super top secret character, goes to the cleric trainers in Tavernhold, he can learn orisons up to Rank 7. If he visits Stoneroot Glade, he can learn wizard cantrips there, but only up to Rank 7. That's because he's limited by the settlement he belongs to, not the settlement where he's training.

Edit: There have been rumors of an ugly intermediate stage coming later, during which characters could only train in their own settlements, followed by a system where they could train in their own settlements, plus formally allied settlements, then eventually every settlement would get lots of fancy options like allowing or prohibiting training based on reputation, whitelists and blacklists, charge different prices to different people, etc.

If the You Can Only Train In Your Home Settlement stage does happen, I hope it happens after the War of Towers, when we have more flexibility than "This is a Cleric/Fighter Settlement".

There were many control mechanisms that have been debated on these boards, including be allowed to prioritize who gets access to crafting queues (preference to settlement members, fees for non members, etc), training fees going to the host settlement, settlements being allowed to charges addl fees and taxes, among other things.

PoIs should be a big game changer! Their construction, the transportation and selling of materials generated at PoIs, further skills needed to construct them, raids, escalations attacking PoIs and players having to beat the attackers back into submission. All sound like a lot of additional fun to me!

Agreed Fanndis, I'm really looking forward to how this plays out.

Great blog! Very reassuring to see that so many of the right things are on that list.

Will our feedback change the priority order on some of the "real soon (TM)" features? Should we wait for you to poll us or just blurt out our personal suggestions?

Nitpicking: some of the items on the list are problems, some are solutions - some misunderstandings might occur. But as long as it is crystal clear to GW staff, it's not worth fixing.

Re: Settlement/company management. If you implement multiple company leaders, then only the last remaining leader should have restrictions to leave.
