I hesitated between two reactions:
1) Flag all posts from that guy "Mike" (who is it anyway) to bury/banish him from that forum because his posts are clearly offensive since they keep on being REDACTED.
2) Take opportunity of that clever thread about asking designers to ask them what is that new concept on REDACTING cards that will be in Wrath because there seems to be a lot of talks about it.
I guess I go with the last one for fear of being REDACTED.
Now for the REAL question I'd like to ask Mike, Lone Skarkies and others:
It took a while in the RPG to have different races really have different impact on the game (especially if you compare with classes). Unfortunately it seems to me PACG starts the same way. Any chance we get specific hobbit/orcish/elvish/gnomish... effects or rules somewhere down the road? Would be cool.
And for politically correctness issue I can't ask the same question about sex impact but It would really be cool to have the "what it really feels to be a female paladin" translated in some bonus/malus somewhere for Seelah. Beside Jeanne d'Arc, not much examples in history. I guess I'll have to house rule that last one the French way.
:-)

I love threads like this and I love the sense of community in this forum. Makes me love this game even more, which I didn't think was possible.
After buying all 7 class decks and shuffling them all into the box (yes ALL of them) we restarted RotR with new characters (if I could have 39 different games going I probably would). On thing we have noticed that there just aren't a lot of monsters - especially once you start removing the basic and elite ones.
So I was just wondering the likelihood of a sort of bestiary deck being released at some point, sort of like a class deck that you can shuffle into any adventure path? Would be cool.
Thanks guys for making such an awesome game!

I'm more curious what the future plans are for conquering heroes. There's a card feat reward for completing both RotR and S&S Adventure Paths. Currently there is no use for those rewards. Possibly an Adventure 7 or something similar expansion? I'd rather they do that than a monster expansion pack or a class deck mini pack. I wonder if there is already a set plan for those that are just put aside for now.

I think this is a reasonable question. We haven't tried to do things across races much, because whatever it was would have to go on every elf or dwarf or gnome we created. Once you see three elves with bonuses to using swords, you'll ask why the fourth elf doesn't have it.
But yeah, we might do more along these lines someday.

We keep planning to include something involving gender, but have never quite gotten it in the game. I expect we will eventually.

You can always replay scenarios with characters who have finished one adventure path. For example, when you get Skull & Shackles Adventure 6 next month, run through it with your conquering Runelords heroes. That should be a good challenge.

That would be a challenge, particularly because we ditched most of our barrier-defeating cards going Into The Eye, selecting instead scouting and damage reduction. S&S's focus on barriers would be tough.

This kinda confirms what I have thought of the difficulty of Skull and Shackles compared to Rise of the Runelords. It feels like one Adventure Deck higher in difficulty. So S & S deck 6 will be about equal to a hypothetical ROTR deck 7.

Remind me to buy you a beer on that day (a real one from Belgium, I promise). This is so tempting to make something fun and thematic around races. And I agree it shouldn't be just a bonus on swords for elves - nobody cares for another simple bonus. But look at Ranzak's powers : you really did something great to incarnate the gremlin-like goblin. Maybe there could be a fun (non game unbalancing obviously) generic power that could be found for each race.

That's definitely interesting to try. I undoubtedly would.
But is there anything else particularly planned for conquering Runelords/Shackles heroes? An exclusive PACG adventure path perhaps? Where its adventures 1-6 would scale starting from a conquering Runelords hero level. Or maybe an existing Adventure Path but is not a Base Set, and instead an extension of any Base set and scales to adventure 7-12.
So for a hypothetical example:
For the AP following Wrath, it is not a base set. Instead, you can take your heroes that finished Runelords/Shackles/Wrath and continue their adventure into that new Adventure Path. and that AP will have its own 6 adventures that scales well with the conquering heroes' power levels. Have even more advanced roles and such.
I think that would be cool. People can play any Base AP then after they finish that, they can immediately start the expansion AP. Start over at a different base set, and again carry over to the expansion AP. Possibly mixing parties from a S&S conquering party tagging along with a WotR conquering party.
It's just an idea but maybe down the road you guys can do something like that. Even if it's next year or the year after.

I think it would be more appropriate to use race abilities in boons and not on the character cards. I just don't think there is enough room to include a racial bonus, and I don't want an elf fighter and an elf wizard to have the same power. It wouldn't feel right.
Ranzak has great powers for the mischievous pirate that he is, but I wouldn't want to see those same powers on say a goblin sorcerer.
