Losing a scenario and deck upgrades, session sheets

Pathfinder Adventure Card Society

1. Can one still get a upgrade for failing to complete a scenario? As I understand it, if you fail the scenario you don't get the scenario reward but the guide/rulebook (unless I am blind) makes no mention of deck upgrades being ok or not ok in a failed instance.

2. On the Chronicle/Session sheet, if we failed a scenario and then we immediately retry, both tries on the scenario get their own section correct?

1) Yes. The Guide to OP says this:
"The procedure for earning scenario rewards (or adventure rewards, or adventure path rewards) follows the standard rules... If the party ran out of the allotted time for the scenario, players do not earn scenario rewards, but they can upgrade their decks."

The "standard rules" for doing this involve rebuilding your deck with the loot found (or in this case, the deck upgrade).

2) Yes. See the Success? box in the Chronicle Sheet?

Grand Lodge

zeroth_hour is correct on both.

Awesome, my group was asking the same question about the deck upgrade, since we will do the third attempt to do one scenario.
