Mischa The Witch of the Woods |
Bowen/Zack should come up with something as to how they became friends. Bowen would have stumbled across Mischa a few times but Mischa would have been dismissive until maybe Bowen accidentally injured a fox cub in some way and came to Mischa for help?

I have added the information for Dundraville and its notable locations to the campaign tab. These are locations that the group may want to checkout before heading up to the Ogre's cave.
When the game starts the group will have gathered at the Merry Riot Inn at the request of Lord Casimir to discuss their plan of action and what each other knows. It will be the party meet and greet so we can get some basic interaction down.

Grand Moff Vixen checking in. I have the alias made. The initial background is there, as is the crunch. Hero Lab for the win (I want so many more books for this!).
Of note, when dotting the gameplay thread for any campaign, just make a post and quickly delete it. You will have successfully been added to the characters list, and will see the campaign in your main profile. Look at the characters list now, I am there and yet no post shows up in the gameplay thread. This keeps said thread squeaky clean!
Newt says while rubbing his hands.....wait. Wrong thread! :P
Just a little tidbit I like to share in the games I play.

I have spent a fortune on the herolab program but welll worth every penny, especially the combat manager.
The gameplay thread is open. Read the intro and you can bring your character into the inn for the meeting at anytime and roleplay with each other and any patrons that might be there until everyone arrives. This will give everyone time to interact while waiting on the final two.

The town of Dundraville is kinda superstitious backwards folks mostly. They don't understand magic nor do they care to. They tolerate the wizard because he stays in his tower for the most part when he is not gone on some trip and the druids who come to care for the standing stones are rather left alone by most.
It's not as if they don't like Mischa, it is just fear that comes from not understanding the place her magic comes from. Thus the witch reference.

One of the main focuses once everyone introduces themselves at the tavern is equipment. Basically who has what. As some have torches, etc but others have the tinder-twigs to light them etc. Equipment was divided out so it would be a team effort to get everybody with what they need.
Equipment and Encumbrance Will Be Tracked.
Since all of you are npc classed locals no one has any starting gold as everything has been put into what equipment and stuff from your families, etc. that could be scrounged up. So that means you will probably want to visit some of the notable locations in Dundraville once the group is finished at the tavern and see what kind of assistance etc you can get from the business owners, etc. Since all of you are risking your necks to go after the Ogre.
I would be of the mindset that everyone should chip in.
Please keep everyone together if you visit different places in Dundraville so that we don't have everyone running off separately.
Easier to process actions this way.
First off introducing yourself and gathering any information should be key. Also since one of the three sisters at the inn was one of the victims taken you may want to talk to them as well and see if you can find out who the other victim was.
Information will be a key asset.
I usually post results from a action or for NPC's at a minimum of twice a day. Once in the morning around 10am CST and once in the evening 10pm CST usually 7 days a week. Other questions in the discussion thread I usually answer as quick as possible.
Have Fun Everyone.

Ok, I'll tone Mischa down a bit from what I originally thought. Plus I was thinking of why she might be so aloof and distant when I realized that she's an elf. They're supposed to be aloof and distant!
BTW should I pick spells for her?
bwatford |
Yes you need to pick spells for her and let me know. From the Adept list.
I was speaking of the townspeoples view of her. Mischa is introverted, mysterious and aloof, if not downright haughty at times.
You disdain most people in general, thus is why you are a hermit in the woods.
But I am sure you'll get her figured out as the game starts.
Mischa The Witch of the Woods |
It was actually a pretty helpful clarification as I got the impression that she was actively feared by the townsfolk which isn't the case. I think I should be fine. I'd imagine though that she would be friendlier with druids and Tarik though.

By the way this is my best Irish sounding accent.
Actually, that sounds a lot more like the Cockney accent from East London.
I am tailoring the background from the perspective that I write from. Also, I have added personality and appearance spoilers. I will probably add to and tweak the background with more details as I think of them.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Here is a very good walkthrough on how it is done.

A trick is that for some changes in the profile you need to go to 'My Account' at the top and then you have a place where you can create an alias and modify it to add avatars and such like.
Also there are two kinds of alias one is an official 'pathfinder society' character and one that's just an alias. Doesn't really matter which one you pick honestly but if you want to put your PFS characters in there it might get tricky. Anyways the fancy stat block under a name is just a simple hack. Where you put in Expert 1 for your class and Level just put in everything else So my 'Class Level' looks more like 'Adept/1| HP 6/6 | AC 15 T 13 FF 12 | Fort 0 Ref 3 Will 6 | Init 3 | Per 6'

Wow that faq makes my whole post obsolete :). Anyway my turn for newbie questions. I've just played martial characters until now really so for spells.
The Adept page says I have 3 Level 0 spells and 1 Level 1 spell.
First do I get two Level 1 spells because I have 18 WIS?
Second you said 0 spells are 'at will' does that mean I prepare three spells and I can use them as much as I want?
For Level 1 spells I can only cast two per day?
If I want to change these spells out then I just need an 'hour of meditation'? For Lev 1 spells though I would need to rest 8 hours to get my two casts per day back?
bwatford |
Correct, Mischa gets 3 - 0 level spells and 2 - 1st level spells from the adept list.
0 level spells can be used as many times per day as you like they are basically an at will ability.
Once you have memorized a spell for the day then you can not change it out. What the 1 hour of meditation refers to is if you leave a slot open and unprepared for the day then you could wait until later that day to decide what spell you are memorizing in that slot and it would take 1 hour.

I'm at work right now, I'l post when I'm back at home, doing roleplay with my cellphone isn't very practical.
If you use an Android phone, may I recommend Wayfinder? It helps me to be able to post more effectively when my computer is not able to be used.
Bowen |
bwatford - If it's alright with you, I'm gonna say that Bowen's axe was originally his grandfather's.
My take on it would be that, in Bowen's family, it would be thought of as a curio, Grand-dad's lucky axe - definitely old, but of unknown provenance, just something he picked up somewhere and liked the heft of it.
