Hi,

In the Advanced Class Guide there are three kits for wagons:
The Mobile Hospital
The Portable Prison
The Traveling Garden

These three items require a wagon (ultimate equipment page 87), but those are not legal for purchase, were those three items missed or is there some other way of obtaining a wagon?

I know ships can be obtained via a vanity, is there something similar for wagons?

Dark Archive

Lol, vanity wagons.

I believe a wagon is legal for purchase from the Core Rulebook.

Might have to leave it outside a lot. Don't forget the horse or oxen to pull it.

Ah good, two of the items can be used then. Should teach me to look up stuff in the Core Rules as well as Ultimate Equipment when I'm looking for mundane items.

What about the third? The Traveling Garden requires a heavy wagon.

I still want vanity wagons.
I will not budge on this topic.

Guess I should be gettin' me a cart, eh?

Maybe even a pony or two?

I had a character who had a deluxe chariot once.

He was enormously large, you see. Plus he had to bring along a steady food supply, lest he become famished between meals. That simply was a necessity.

Oh, and sometimes he would flurry at rude people. All they would see is walls of flab coming at them. Gods forbid if he decided to grapple you.

I have (had I should say, as I need to tweak it a bit now) a hunter with mammoth animal companion who has a light weagon with a bison pulling it, full of animal feed.
Guess I'm going to have to reclaim 20 gold (light wagon costs 50, the CRB wagon only 30) and buy another bison (the wagon from the CRB requires 2 large creatures, the light wagon from UE only 1).
Ah well, at least then I will have two combat trained bisons guarding the wagon when I'm not around.

The reason I noticed this was because I was looking for the mobile hospital and traveling garden for my life oracle, but someone pointed out to me that the wagons from UE were not available for purchase.

Is it possible to put the traveling garden on a wagon from the CRB? thus ignoring the heavy bit?

edit: Since it includes earth-filled planters and a small herd of goats, that doesn't seem sufficient. I'd personally allow it on a ship, but that obviously has no rules support.

You need a bumper sticker;

"No stolen artifacts of dubious legality and even more dubious safety left in this vehicle overnight."

I suggest you just take a look at the vehicles from Ultimate Combat. According to Additional Resources, those should all be legal.

AWesome, indeed Ultimate Combat's vehicles are indeed legal.
This means I can just purchase a heavy wagon and get me the traveling garden, awesome.

Does this open up the possibility of an airship skygarden?

It would seem so yes.

However the airship does cost 50.000 gp, so it might take a while before you have gathered enough gold.

Anyway, for me it's going to be:
2 Heavy Wagon (100 gp each)
2 Bisons (50 gp each) (for some reason the Ultimate Combat version of the heavy wagon requires only 1 large animal to pull it?)
1 Traveling Garden (200 gp)
1 Mobile Hospital (1000 gp)

So for the price of a fullplate, I'll have a complete mobile hospital.
