Hi Paizo
Over the last few months, when my subscription goods have been delivered to the UK I have had to pay import costs of over £10 sterling. This is due to the packages being marked as merchandise. Have you taken to marking your packages differently now, as I do not remember ever having to pay these costs before? Also, if you intend to continue to mark them so, regrettably it would be more finaically viable for me to buy the adventures paths, pawns and other stuff from a UK site where I would not have to pay import duty.

If an order contains just books, the customs label should just say books. If it contains other items that do no fall into the books category, it may be labeled different.
Additionally, sometimes USPS puts different labels over our labels at some point in transit. So, sometimes our original label may say books, but it may be re-labeled to read merchandise or something along those lines. This is not something that happens often, so we haven't found the rhyme or reason as to why that happens, and unfortunately, it's not something that we have direct control over.
If you want to send a picture of the label, we would be glad to look into things further (you can email it to use at customer.service@paizo.com).
While we try to offer the best deals we can for our products from our website, we can't always offer the best deal to everyone compared to other retailers (especially after factoring in shipping or potential customs fees). If you end up buying somewhere else, that still helps support us, and we appreciate that. : )
If you decide you want to cancel things, just let us know. Thanks!
