On the inside of the back cover there are the pirate legends. For example the Shipwreck in a Bottle. On the map it has the location of the rumored treasure. I know those are suppose to be open ended for the DM to decide what to do with them but does anyone have any ideas or stories about what they did?

I had my crew hold up in Little Opparra for awhile. The jeweler who made the mech parrot is from there. I dropped rumors my gang bit. I simply described the "Fishing Village" as a slave plantation and the master of the plantation was rumored to have the bird. The found the bird, slaves which they eventually freed, and plunder in the form of raw clay and pottery.

I placed a couple of the treasures on the skull map from the first dungeon. For the shipwreck in a bottle, I used the grim lantern idea from this thread. I gave the bottle to the enemies in The Stink, and my players looted it from them.

I actually had my PCs loot a pirate ship that was actually owned by a treasure hunter. So most of the hooks where scraps of paper or clues that the treasure hunter had picked up over the years and had various success in finding further clues or tracking down themselves.
The treasure hunter had the ship in the bottle which ended up acting like a sort of genie in a bottle, in that it could trap a ship inside along with the crew, and release them when wanted, so long as the command word was known.
Currently my PCs are trying to figure out the command word!
