Sorcerer Bloodline Help

Silver Crusade

Hi everyone,

I'm making a new character for Pathfinder Society. So far I have

1) Mindchemist Elf
2) Natural Attack Infiltrator/Skirmisher Half-Orc Ranger
3) Shining Knight Gnome Paladin
4) Maneuver Master (Trip, Grapple, Dirty Trick) Human Monk
5) Foresight Tiefling Wizard (Makes knowledge rolls to be prepared for any situation)
6) Saving GM credit to start a Paladin/Rogue/Cleric archetype halfling at level 4.

Now I'm to the point where I need to start a new character to play low tier and I thought a sorcerer would be fun as it plays very differently from every other character. However, there are so many bloodlines I don't know what to do. I'm not looking at optimizing or anything, just making a fun character that I could enjoy from level 1-12. Here are my ideas so far, I just need help narrowing them down. My ultimate goal is going either rebuff with buffing backup, or buffing with debuff backup.

1) Dwarven Empyreal Bloodline - I like the idea of a Dwarven Sorcerer, and dwarf is a race I really want to play but haven't yet, but a minor healing ability and losing summoning prowess doesn't seem worth it.
2) Sylph Sage Bloodline - Got the race boon and this would be a fun one to use it on.
3) Aberrant Touch attack Sorcerer
4) Djinni Bloodline
5) Dreamspun Bloodline
6) Fey Bloodline
7) Maestro bloodline
8) Voidtouched
9) Shadow or Umbral

I have to agree with you on this one. It's not the most fun bloodline out there. The big question for me is... how much fun would you have with your dwarf? Could you be an Empyreal dwarf monk? If you can come up with a fun character and backstory, go for it.

Sage is a great all around bloodline with lots of versatility, and sylphs are great fun to play. I give this idea the thumbs up. The only sadness in my mind is that you lose the familiar (my single favorite part of the arcane bloodline.)

4) Djinni Bloodline

Melee and blasters. Of the two, I like Djinni better for the spell list, although the first power is kind of meh to me. Are you wanting to be a combat sorcerer? I don't think that these fulfil the buffs and debuffs part of what you want to do.

5) Dreamspun Bloodline

This one has cool sounding powers, though I think the fluff is better than the mechanics. Still, I could imagine all sorts of fun roleplaying with this one. Maybe you could even go with the nickname "sandman."

6) Fey Bloodline

I love this one. I'm playing a variant of this, a sylvan sorcerer and having great fun with it. My only concern is that it may be overplayed in PFS, but there's a reason that it is. Great powers, great arcana, great overall.

7) Maestro bloodline

I am playing one of these right now, and I *love* it. Great first power, and I actually spent a point on perform so that I could lie and pretend I was a bard. It's got some good enchantment powers, and I love the ninth level power. This is not the most overpowered or optimized bloodline, but I have been enjoying the heck out of this one.

8) Voidtouched

I hadn't looked at this one before, but I agree that it is really interesting and full of flavor.

I'm a big fan of this bloodline and of Rakshasha. They're great bloodlines for being spies or stealthy. Yes, I am adding a bloodline for you to consider instead of narrowing this down.

I realize now that I haven't helped you decide, but part of it is that I don't have an idea of the personality of the character you want to play.

Hmm

Great response on Aberrant and Djinni. For Aberrant the idea is delivering touch attacks (like Touch of Idiocy) with reach.

See where I can go from here.
