Yup; there's Kaiju in Minata and up in the big desert of Tian Xia. Probably in the mountains and definitely in the oceans.

The Kaiju come from an extradimensional fissure in the ocean, located in the southern part of the planet, that connects many worlds from many different dimensions.

And only scavenged tech from Numeria can create the humanoid-crewed hunter robots which can battle them!!! :)

I like your line of thought.

In continuation of that (not entirely serious) line of thought:

Desna could be an ascended First World/fey kaiju-wrangler. It would go with the "Song of the Spheres" epithet, as well as the Mothra connection. After all, her big herald is an over-sized space-moth ...

i thought Desna herself was essentially a super ultra mega powerful alien butterfly, is this not true?

I don't know for sure (only JJ can answer that). That _was_ the basis of my original suggestion that she was an ascended kaiju of the Mothra type.

Then I looked up Mothra on-line, where I found out about the singing fey twin sisters. When added to Desna's epithet, it seemed more likely that she was the wrangler than Mothra itself.

either way its super awesome
and now i finally have a question to ask James in his thread, i'm pretty sure he's sick of the stupid questions i've been coming up with (my last question for him was "Are we there yet?")
thanks Bellona:)

Your're welcome. Just remember report back if you get an answer, please! :)

I was under the impression that Desna's human-like form is a recent development.

It's really awesome when the designers chime in on posts like this.

Recent in divine time, yes, but she's used that form for WELL over 10 thousand years... so not all that recent in human years.

Right. That's what I meant by recent. Should have put it in quotes. Thank you.

The Exchange

I'm really glad to see this post, I love kaiju (I've been working on a kaiju card game for a while now) and would love to see more of them on Golarion or some third party stuff. And I would love to write some kaiju stuff for Pathfinder.
