Do chronicle rewards that alter an item's default slot count as unique? [teensy spoiler]

Question about further enchanting an item that appeared on my #00-34 Encounter at the Drowning Stones chronicle. There are three Core Rule items that were fluffed to use a different item slot. The one of particular interest is this one:

Spoiler:
Amulet of Natural Armor +1 (Crocodile Skull Headdress)

Is this item considered unique, or can I enchant it beyond the +1?

It doesn't say it uses a different item slot. Unless the chronicle specifically says so, I would think it functions as the item it says it is in all ways, including what magic item slot it occupies.

There are a couple of other items that have flavor attached to them or are non-pathfinder items (like bracers of strength) that are referenced on season 0 chronicles. They are to be replaced by their pathfinder equivalent. So in the example, you'd just get the strength belt. In this case, you get an amulet of natural armor +1.

Okay, thanks for the responses.
