Crossbow Bolts for PFS

Been looking through the ACG and I'm liking the Bolt Ace Archtype for Gunslingers. Though I came up with a problem, are there any other bolts available for crossbows (or repeating versions) beyond the basics. I know there are plenty of special arrows around (blunt, flight, thistle, etc) and don't know if there are options like that for crossbows that are legal for PFS.

Check out the Alchemy Manual and Elves of Golarion. IIRC there is a note in those books about special arrows also being available as bolts. Sadly there are no blunt crossbow bolts.

The tangle bolt from Ultimate Equipment is my personal favorite.

Also the custom order boon will let you purchase specific types of magical ammunition in lots of 10 instead of lots of 50.

There are some scenarios which let you buy limited amounts of special ability crossbow bolts (e.g. frost bolts, human bane bolts, etc.).

As always, check additional resources to make sure that what you purchase is PFS legal.

I think a more pressing problem with the Bolt Ace is that archetype does not change or alter the Gunsmith class feature of the Gunslinger.

As a result, Bolt Aces receive a gun at their first level, they have proficiency with guns, and they have Gunsmithing as their bonus class feat. None of these things match the flavor or concept of the Bolt Ace. They can't even use their grit with guns.

It's unfortunate because it is an interesting class option in a lot of ways. This mistake essentially does away with any benefit of the Gunsmith class feature, while taking up class feature space.

If I were running a non-PFS home game, I would make the bonus feat a choice between proficiency with an exotic crossbow or rapid reload with a type of simple crossbow, a free 'broken' crossbow reflecting their choice (that the Bolt Ace can use as normal). In exchange they get no firearms proficiency, no firearm, and no gunsmithing feat.

The alchemy manual allows you to buy bolts shiurken etc for specialty arrows.
