Investigator Sleuth

Advice

Liberty's Edge

Hey all - the Sleuth Archetype trades out Alchemy for some luck-based abilities. Two questions -

1) Am I reading this right that you lose all Alchemy abilities?

2) If so, is it possible that the substitute abilities make sense to trade out 6 levels of casting? It seems a steep price.

1) Appears that way
2) Could be, Depends on if you are dipping Investigator. Or planned to multiclass in the first place. I dont think it would be worth it as a pure investigator but i'm sure someone will find some exploit.

Yes, that's what it does, and yes that's a terrible trade 99% of the time...though maybe not if dipping, I guess.

Basically, Sleuth is a terrible archetype. Which annoys me.

I would love an Investigator archetype that replaces both alchemy and the poison stuff. I want so hard to love this class, but I feel like it needs more Investigator and less Alchemist.

Eh. Empiricist replaces poisons and is awesome. You can just reflavor the alchemy to a bunch of one-shot items he caries. He's got a utility belt, since he's basically Batman.
