For troublesome PDFs I use a command line tool called pdfimages.exe, which can be downloaded as part of the Xpdf zip here. Depending on the options used, you can set it to export every image file in a PDF, and then just delete all the irrelevant ones.
I don't have #6-01 onwards, but it worked on #6-00, which I know some people had trouble with.

If you have access to different software for reading the file, that can help. I've had trouble in Preview (Mac) in the past, but Acrobat Reader copies the images fine. Photoshop also seems to allow pulling the image out. There are a number of free PDF readers out there; try a few of them and see if one of them solves the problem.

There's a pdf reader program called Nitro Reader, its a free download. It has an option of extracting all images from a pdf. It does a really nice job. gives them a white background, not that messy black one you usually get from copy/paste out of Acrobat.
I went to their site and found the free trial, but not a fully free version. Am I missing something? Maybe a hard-to-spot link?

What URL are you using Todd? I found this one for a free version of Nitro Reader 3. There doesn't appear to be a trial period for use.

Hm, that is not the site I was at at all ... thanks for the link.
My name's *still* not Todd, though.
(You're the second person in the last week or so to do that :) )

Has anyone had any printing issues? I printed #6-06: Hall of the Flesh Eaters tonight and all the images have black squares behind them which obscure a fair amount of text. This is the first one from season 6 I've printed, so I don't know if other scenarios are like this or not.
I had something similar trying to print hall of the flesh eaters.
This was at the office, and I figured out that I had to let the document finish flattening before printing it on the printer (we have secure print enabled), otherwise this would happen.

That could be the issue. I also did mine in an office. I'll try that out. Thanks, Woran!

Just to let everyone know, I just now downloaded Nitro Reader 3, and it let me pull the maps (copy and paste) and it pasted into Paint just fine. It is the Pro version that costs, which is mostly for corporations that use the functions gained in the Pro version.
Thank you for the link, Doug Miles, it was very useful.
