Summoner / Eidolon and Magic Items

Can an Eidolon wear magic items? If the summoner is not wearing any magic items can Eidolon wear them and do they stay with the Eidolon at all times? On the flip side of that if a summoner is wearing a belt of dex +2 does that bonus transfer to the Eidolon? I am thinking of making a summoner and normally have no issues with rules, but I can't seem to grasp this...please help..lol

The summoner and eidolon can both use items, but between them they only have one item slot of each type (two rings). Eidolons can't wear armor.

Equipment on the eidolon stays with the eidolon.

Effects don't transfer.
