Hi folks
I was wondering if is there a list of animal companions. I mean there is no sense in having a bear or wolf but on another hand, I saw no additional animals to be picked.
Am I missing something or is there a list released or official rules to pick another animal? I mean we can reskin a Wolf to a Panther for RP purposes but it is far from ideal :(

Here's a list of current options. Quite a few would be compatible with Mwangi ecology.
Based on "Lost Omens The Mwangi Expanse," apes, badgers, bats, beetles, birds, boars, cats, crocodiles, hyenas, pangolin, and snakes, for example, should all fit thematically.
The cat companion should cover panthers.

Your companion is a wolf or other canine creature, such as a dog.
The wolf animal companion is intended to also represent dogs and other canids - something like an African Painted Dog could conceivably exist in the Mwangi Expanse as well, and Jackals (which definitely exist in the Mwangi Expanse) are closely related to wolves as well.
The idea with animal companions is that you just choose the rules option that best represents what you want your companion to be - the descriptive texts for this makes this pretty clear, as things like the badger say "your companion is a badger, wolverine, or other big mustelid" - the name used for the option is just the most common/prominent example of that type of animal companion. A wolf animal companion isn't necessarily a wolf, a badger isn't necessarily a badger, and so on.
