I agree. Their plugs of self-promotion are particularly cute!

Did I mention we have beer? ;)

Weak, bitter or strong?

Yes! and lots of it! ;)

EDIT: Maybe not so much weak.

I'm just curious to see what the Tower wars will look like in the beginning before the month 2EE wave brings the settlements to their full landrush numbers

and wonder what the M1EE to M2EE ratio is for the avg settlement

As discussed, we'll have beer too... I'm thinking perhaps an altbier, or a doppelbock.

If you have more members than you need to hold your spot, consider providing doe last minute support to Tavernhold. Show Kabal they cannot KEEP F. Support Taverhold! Put Kabal back in its place. It has twice tried to oust Tavernhold. We cam back one. Help us do it again.

Make Kabal go elsewhere, say down south.

Of course, but we will have BEER! Casks the size of houses! Mmmmm beer...

Hey, Lam, I think you should clear messages like that with your friends at Tavernhold before posting them. I'm pretty sure voteswapping is frowned upon by almost everyone, including the swell chaps at the pub.

I could be wrong, though. Even if I am, I doubt they'd want their evil plans announced publicly. :P

I can't wait until OE, when thousands of rabid, Murder Zergers swarm in and begin setting the world ablaze in glorious chaos!!

Or y'all can join Kabal and help keep F from everyone else. :-)

After all, Tavernhold is made up of five companies. That's a lot of votes on the Counsel, which is currently made up of one company. We would be the biggest company, but we wouldn't have majority votes if all of Tavernhold joined us.

And we did consider south. It is somewhere fairly high on our "if we get bumped list".

We did not try, it actually happened both times.

Actually vote swapping and political arguments is part of the LandRush except for those original signers for the LR1 teams. It may apply to LR2 enrollees in LR1 sites -- not sure. But any of LR2 can plan and politic. Join other the ams or leave other teams.

And no I do not speak for Tavernhold. It is happy hour.

And I thought you were good sports about the whole thing.

Still if you take X, I'm cool with that. :)

He didn't actually say it is against the rules. What he said was frowned upon by almost everyone. I think he's right. A lot (I can't say most because I have no specific info) of us have accepted an unwritten rule that you shouldn't vote for a community you don't plan to live in.

I even got torn a new one for simply not disbanding fast enough a week ago after we decided to join Ozem's.

My wife has that books also. Cracked me up when I flipped through it.

On the Kabal issue, while I think most of us wish that we had been able to keep F, they took it fair and square both times. We were able to claim it back once, but it doesn't look like we will be able to this time. We had several discussions about merging, but in the end, there were too many issues we couldn't resolve to merge.

But, I believe we are on good terms, and hopefully we will be able to cooperate as neighbors in a mutually beneficial way. And if not, c'est la vie. We will deal with that when necessary.

Everyone, congratulations on bringing this exciting land rush to a close, and may you enjoy your settlement locations until OE.

Pretty sure vote swapping is all we're refrained from. Planing and politicking aplenty still to be had for LR1 teams.

Goblin Squad Member

I did not think LR1 were vote swapping. I did get a lecture on that in week one of LR2 from a LR1 winner.
Some LR2 players have changed their vote. I have. I am sorry Caldeathe Baequiannia (calling you Cal has too many connotation on So Cal -- google Go see Cal) that you took flak for your move. Maybe if you had come to Tavernhold it would have been less, but probably not.
Still I think Tavernhold would have been good fit for you, but if Kabeal had then boosted you that would have been unfortunate.
OV is a fine location with a difficult alignment.

That would be awesome, but we can live with C. ;)

Goblin Squad Member

I don't think anyone objects to people changing their votes. The objection is to votes sitting in a settlement that the player doesn't plan to make their home.

Tavernhold would have been better for one of my teammates, and worse for me. His character concept was more flexible than mine. I'm afraid that having our most active participant and current front-man trying to play a lawful good paladin in Tavernhold would have been a stretch.

Well alignment isn't going to matter for some time. We do have a pretty clear vision of what we want to accomplish and grow from with our settlement though. I think Cal made a pretty good choice. I think Tavernhold would of also been a good choice.

As for getting flak, that had nothing to do with Ozem's Vigil. I really don't know why you would think it would.

Yeah, we had this whole plan to cripple the UnNamed Company by having me join and tell bad jokes until everyone left, but the Northern Coalition kinda put the kibosh on that. :/

"C" is actually near the top of my personal list. It has good expansion options (South-West now), and once the map grows, it will become fantastic. Road access and Marsh nearby. I actually envy you that hex. That's a fine hex.

Once the map expands I think it will be a great "Tavern on the frontier" location.

Do we know if the map will expand in all directions?

I had the impression that eventually it should. It will definitely expand your way cause that's where Riverwatch is. :)

So, you would that I fall in and support you and provide increases to you settlement, and then she alignment comes, your LG settlement is fine with booting my character out and "unclean". If anything, more than any other, I would expect your settlement to not accept those who they must letter expel. But you are only FMS and not the Paladins.

If you are happy, with this early on, using those who you must later expel; I do not think you are behaving in an ethical pattern worthy of truing Paladins -- but you are FMS! THis will be OK in game mechanics. This is not OK in Paladin RP.
I have had high regard for OV, or the Paladins I have e-mailed, and understand the problem. IF this is the official settlement plan, to use some and throw them away, I think less of OV. I would not expect Brightlight to say this.

Toss people out? I never said that. You can be LN and NG as well in Ozem's Vigil. If people move past that alignment, then we would need to work with them on another solution. Either help them forge a new settlement when such becomes available or perhaps they find a new home with another ally.

I don't appreciate your accusation/insinuation that's posted above. You got a problem with me or my company, just come out and say it. Check the passive aggressive BS at the door and save the drama for your mama. :D

If you examine the large map there is starmetal hex near us when the map expands.

2 at 5 hexes if I'm counting right.

I believe so. It has many good characteristics for Open Enrollment. I think, in the long run, it will prove an excellent choice.

(as I tried to write last night, just as the boards fell apart...)

Actually, I'm guessing that one to the north is, as well, which puts you at the direct centre of a triangle with a crater hex five away in three directions.

Goblin Squad Member

I wonder what lv harvister you have to be before you can even think of harvesting starmetal?

Goblin Squad Member

Is T3, perhaps 15+?

Goblin Squad Member

By that time we may be in OE

I assumed there'd be different "tiers" of Starmetal

Incidentally, has GW named the Goblin Balls yet?

1-8 is T1, 9-14 is T2, 15-20 is T3

That seems about what I have figured out so far.

Interesting choice. Not a lot of good representations of the style in the US. Underappreciated style though.
