Is Monday a stat holiday in Oregon? Will Lee be chained to his desk that morning, or off at a picnic with family? Are we making an assumption that he'll even be doing the finalé that day, or is it going to get delayed to Tuesday, I wonder.

Well Monday, may well be a state holiday in Oregon(I honestly don't know) but we are in Redmond, Washington so I don't think it'd apply to us. :)

I wish Monday was a holiday for us in Oregon :).

Good enough. It's a holiday across most of Canada, and didn't know if we'd absorbed that from the U.S.

Grand Lodge

Noper, the next big US holiday is Labor day, and both NA Countries observe that one though. Only a month + a few hours change away.

Goblin Squad Member

Business as usual here in Australia.

Goblin Squad Member

Holiday or not. The Devs have said they have setup the tool to take a "picture" of the standings when Midnight hits. We might not get the official results until Tuesday, but Sunday at 11:59:59 will still be the cutoff.

Oh sure, we do certainly have the end results at the right time regardless of if someone is in office or not but I think Caldeathe is more asking from a 'When do we, the participants, hear the final result?'

Goblin Squad Member

In other words, DON'T BE LATE WITH THE RESULTS!!!!!!

I believe that is the case, but I'd like to know for my own sake as well so I don't drive myself mad f5'ing for 48 hours. Perhaps a few others could be spared as well if you have a planned announcement time.

Goblin Squad Member

It seems clear that the first Monday in August is not a designated holiday in Washington, and the announcement should come at approximately its normal time on Monday morning around 10:00 am.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

I watched all the other announcements - so this will be the most important one ...
Just not sure how well I will be able to follow it as I'm traveling.

Not to worry, Thod, I'm almost 100% certain that Kabal has no interest in "V"

Goblin Squad Member

Don't forget the tsunami warning for the Puget Sound Monday morning at 7:30 a.m.

Thankfully, Seattle has lots of high ground. Pioneer Square is not that high.

You had to go and say it. Now they are going to hit V for sure. :D

Goblin Squad Member

Last week, maybe. This week, I'm guessing not.

::note to Sunnfire:: "V for Vendetta. That is all."

Goblin Squad Member

Are you kidding?!?!?!?!!? When we take V, guess whose pass out of the mountain we plan to block and make them either go the long way round or whither and die? Just guess who that would be? And if our ally takes AA, guess who is going to whither? [walks away whistling innocently and happily]

This amuses me.
Who am I to say you should not try? I am merely the one who will pick the up the pieces after your pestering has ended.

I BRAVELY make my stand, knowing it will be months and months, maybe even a year or more, before you can try taking us out. I pray that something else has caught your attention before then. :-)

There will always be the position of court jester available.

So True Jester.

Too bad there is not a class for it in the game Court Jester.

This movie is why I got into D&D decades ago. :-)

I've done my best to copy him.

It may be a while before we can destroy a settlement.

Destroying other things... like hopes, dreams, and the will to stay in this horrible deathtrap another day... we can start doing that any time!

Get in line. Corporate jobs have been trying for years.

Bah! Pikers! State Jobs. That's really evil and depressing.

Hah. Even money on the chance you can burn down our settlement before we do it accidentally ourselves.

Having seen both sides, you both have a point.

Meh. I typed up some more analysis of the bad points on both sides, but I erased it without posting, because it could be seen as political commentary.

Also really really depressing. :-)

This is why we need a place where we can build our buildings out of metal or stone. A lot more fireproof that way.

Making them out of wood, paper or reed just asks to be burned to the ground. And sod houses that the farmers are going to be living in? Don't get me started!

Sod Buster..

Accidental... Reckless... Negligent... Wilful... These are gradients, who can say?

Some people fear the coming wars; Soldiers, Clowns, Crusaders. But not the Psychopaths, nor the Merchants.

It works like this: War-->Money

Waving to Aragon as we pass them by today. Where they are looks so nice. Maybe we will see about taking it instead of the other hex we were going to take. :-)

LOL, I knew someone who went to a small Colosseum to see one of those Monster Truck rallies. It was an indoor event, and he told me the level of noise and exhaust fumes had probably done years worth of ear and brain damage.

Kabal, you want X? Take it, you got the votes. We are considering our 2nd choice anyway...... <evil grin>

Goblin Squad Member

Can someone give me a link to a map with that actual letters signifying the locations? The only maps I seem to find these days are the ones with settlements already included. Thanks in advance!

You can take out the 'overlay' on the goblinworks site and you are back to letters

Edit: It is called 'control overlay' on the top left of the map.

Thinking about it. But if we get a few more votes, thinking about someplace else too. <sly grin, because, you know, we aren't evil>

No, I would say you guys are Chaotic Neutral. You are certainly not Neutral Good, as you advertise.

Goblin Squad Member

I find that statement amusing.
Acting in a fashion that YOU don't understand does not make one chaotic.
Acting in a chaotic fashion part of the time does not make one overall, chaotic.

I agree, we are agreeing a lot today! I have to be very nice to Sunnfire though because I bought a Destiny Twin account from him and I've yet to receive the account info. So, I take it all back, you are definitely neutral good Kabal! And take whatever hex you want, you're fabulous!!!

Answer me this, what "good" has your bouncing smaller companies out of their spots done for them? Did they some how benefit from losing their hunker down bonus?

Whether your actions have been chaotic or not is debatable. But to think they have been "Good" would not be in the perspective of those that were harmed by your actions.

So is your argument that they should take your hex and we get F back?

I think I'd be good with that. ;)

Characters
Neutral good characters are people who do what's right, someone who's willing to make PERSONAL sacrifices to help people and make Golarion a better place. Typically altruistic and driven by a desire to right, or unable to say no to those in need, these characters are often willing to take extreme PERSONAL risk to do what is right. These characters seek to help people, working with governments and lawful organizations if they need to, but neither seeking to topple or perpetuate them. While members of many classes can be neutral good, many of the truly good are clerics of good gods, whose piety and will to improve the world leads them on many adventures to fight back the darkness and help the weak and defeated.

Whoever said we moved to just help ourselves? We could have been moving just to help certain others.

No settlement spot belongs to anyone, until after tonight. That hunker down bonus was to help those smaller to try to stay in one spot while they worked on increasing the size of their settlements. The "HARM" was that they failed to grow their own settlement. Those that failed to do so, get basically the hexes that the bigger settlements don't want. There is nothing evil in them losing their bonus.

Even a LG settlement could have done the same thing, trying to move evil folks away from good folks, trying to get more powerful good folks in place to act as a shield to smaller good folks, or anything else along that line - for the Good of all.

That bonus wasn't a Right, it was a Perk or a Privilege or whatever you want to call it that could be lost. They could have lost it themselves if they tried moving somewhere else that was better for them.

Goblin Squad Member

Wait.... Are you trying to say that you only bounced evil companies or/and that you were cutting the wheat form the chaff?

Well to be honest no settlement belongs to anyone. It's a fair competition of who will own them issued by Goblinworks. No one has claimed anything as "theirs" till after tonight.

Lets say (random guild that is leading the land rush) decided they wanted (random settlement) there would be nothing that the previous people who wanted (random settlement) could do about it. It has nothing to do with alignment. Cause no one owns it yet.

These per-concieved notions that you own something that you haven't been handed the deed to yet are absurd.
