Hey, are anyone noticing a timestamp of last post on this thread ONLY on the messageboard on the left?
If you're talking about a timestamp like "7:17 pm" instead of "x minutes ago", that means one of the servers has its clock out of sync with the others, and the others think the post is from the future.

There's not a hard limit of number of posts where we'll shut down a thread. We make changes to how the site performs all the time, so really it's a question of "is this thread actually hurting performance right now?" So far with the current codebase this thread seems OK, but you never know. I don't have the tools to figure out these things at home so if it gets locked it'll happen while I'm at the office. (So... you're all safe for tonight....)
