Gilgamesh Eidolon

Advice

I'm toying with the idea of a Summoner with an Eidolon based off of Gilgamesh from the Final Fantasy series. I was playing with giving him mutliple arms and tons of weapons, but that costs so much money... I was thinking instead of having extra arms with slam attacks that hold replicas of swords...

Help me! I need help!

Incase you weren't aware...

Well, it would certainly not be without precedent. The description for stone golems mentions such an aesthetic choice. You might want to do it to the ckaws though, since they not only deal slashing damage, but I am fairly sure that there are restrictions on eidolon slams.

That sounds like you can only get slam once per pair of limbs. So...yeah, claws might be a better choice. Just pretend it is something like mantis claws, or some such explanation.

As another option though, I want to bring up a build idea. Basically, rather than going out and buying a bunch of nice weapons, why not go with a cheaper route that cheats a few of the details. This can be easily done with creative use of evolutions and feats.

First, rather than buying magical +x weapons, just buy a bunch of nonmasterwork weapons of the various special materials. Next, let's use a combo born from FAQ- use the basic magic evolution to grab an SLA, which would qualify you for Arcane Strike based off of this FAQ.. That will give an extra +1-+5 to each of your attacks for a swift action, and it lets you bypass DR/magic. That, along with the huge strength your eidolon will get covers the difference in raw damage due to enhancement bonuses. And if you buy silver/cold iron/adamanatine weapons, then you can buy pass material restrictions.

DR/Alignment will still be a problem for your though.

Good advice, lemeres. Basic Magic + Arcane Strike is a good combo for an eidolon.

Not to mention if you're really trying to replicate Gilgamesh, at least one of his weapons is Excalipoor. Meaning to stay true to his concept, at least of few of his weapons should have the fragile quality XD

I like the way you think, lemeres. I can grab a Naginata too for reach in case I want it.

Arcane strike days you can imbue weapons... Does that exclude natural attacks?
