I need to learn programming so I can create a fighting game where you get to name all your opponents and even vary what they look like with tons of customizable facial features. Then you can make them look like, and name them after, people you don't like.
I've already got a few people (especially from my old job) in mind.....
I don't even like fighting games, (Mainly because I get to play them so little that I stinketh at them)
But THIS game, THIS game I would buy. AND learn to play. And become very, very good at. :DSorry, channeling a little rage-against-the-stupidity at work myself lately. :)

I've had some heavy debate going on in my head about finally breaking down and buying Diablo III. I've heard good things about it, despite they are forcing you to get a Battle.Net account in order to play. I've even heard you can run through the game solo, no need to team up with (or play against) annoying weirdo strangers.

Not this weekend, but the following, we are driving in to New Orleans for a wedding. It is not my choice. I was hoping my wife would simply send a gift and be done with it. It's not like we're actually related to this girl. She's simply my sister-in-law's best friend and like a second daughter to my in-laws.
However, they set the date for Friday. What kind of s!$@head morons get married on a f%&%ing Friday?. So now we have to get the kids home from school/daycare, get the care packed, and drive in Thursday night. Which means the boy will miss a full day of school. Not even a week into the school year. F~&&ing wonderful.
This is why I tend to hate people.

Yes, you CAN play Diablo III solo. It has a good (, maybe even great) storyline. Buy the one that includes the Reaper of Souls expansion.
Edit - It is not just on the PC. They have a X-Box 360, X-Box One, PS 3, and PS 4 version of Diablo III. Like before, buy the version that has the Reaper of Souls expansion.

Sadly (or is that "Thankfully"?) I don't have any of those systems. So it would have to be the PC version.
I probably won't do it, simply because a new game to obsess over his the absolute last distraction I need at the moment.

You know, for an Undead Abomination you are pretty smart.

So...I noticed the other day the Star Wars: The Old Republic online game can be downloaded for free and played. Or, at least part of it. I went ahead and downloaded it quickly enough. Then there was an update to download - that took about an hour. Then the update had to install - which also seemed on the path to taking an hour or more.
So I deleted all that s%~! and called it a day. Should have known - free ain't free.

OTOH, it CAN be purchased for a reasonable cost from GOG and then downloaded and played. I got one of 2 bundles when GOG got a lot of old Star Wars games for a great deal. And they are always having sales.
OR you you can be like me, and still have your old Original Xbox copy and an original Xbox to play it on. :)

You're thinking "Knights of" The Old Repbulic. I was talking about plain jane "the Old Republic" - the third game in the series, where they made it an MMORPG and moved the timeline forward a few hundred years from the first two games.
And, yes, I also have my original xbox, and recently played my way through KotOR and KotOR II. Now I'm working on Jade Empire. After that, I might follow it up with the original Fable. Not sure yet.

Ah hah! Know I know. Did NOT realize they came out with a third before the online game. :P
I have the original fable. The game itself is not too bad, I enjoyed it, (I never finished it) but those 'bonus' side things, (presenting the monsters head to X# of people in X# of seconds?) EGAD! :P

Wrong game. He was not talking about Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic games (which are AWESOME!!!), but the online Star Wars The Old Republic MMO game.

Pay attention, dragon! I have already lectured him on his misunderstanding! Do not make me send the acid-trip gnomes to give you a sound thrashing and steal your treasure.

Baby girl always "wakes daddy up" on the weekend. Typically, I somehow always know when she's going to arrive, and wake myself up. However, I lay there waiting for her.
When she comes in, she usually raises her hand, walks on her toes, and says (quietly) "tip toe, tip toe..." as she crosses the room. Then she says "wake up", gives me "warm hugs" (she loves Olaf from Frozen), then tells me to go potty.
It is one of the more pleasant aspects of my life.

Finally, the pest control people came out to the house yesterday and did the exterior treatment. I made sure they knew about the several wasp nests around the house. Normally, I would take care of them myself (from the maximum distance allowed by spray), but two in particular were so high up, and in such a location, that even the (27 ft.) spray would not reach them. Little f~$$ers.
Happily, they are all dead now.

I had finished Jade Empire the night before, so last night I started playing Fable on my old Xbox. Love the game, and this is the "Lost Chapters version, which had a bunch of added content. The game play is still awesome, the graphics are still awesome, and there's a lot of fun s#$! to do in game.
Still, it's not capturing my attention the way I hoped it might. Right now, I don't even feel like starting it up.
Sad.
