That's really not my problem, though. Plenty of other stuff to watch. Mostly older stuff. Lots of new things coming out of the entertainment industry suck. That's been a trend.
Who knows? With recent goings on (such as Hollywood losing money hand over fist), maybe they'll get smart and stop treating half their audience like dirt.
Because no one wants to buy from a company where the employees think of you as something akin to garbage, just because you don't believe the same things.
Would that more were capable of learning this lesson.
Actually, now that I think about it, this entire Ramblin Man thread is basically one huge digression. It's become habit, and an occasional path to relieving boredom.
Certainly, it's not because I think of this as a community. At least, not one where I'm welcome.
Speaking of anyway....
I suppose it's time to go do something more productive.
Gotta love the USPS. A package I'm expecting shipped out last Sunday from the Pacific Northwest. Took all week to finally arrive at a North Houston facility earlier this morning. And is currently scheduled to reach my house....
....sometime NEXT Tuesday.
I'm guessing by now we could put a picture of the USPS logo next to the phrase "slow walking".
Then again, they currently don't hold a candle to the New Mexico Board for professional engineers. Those idiots have had my paperwork for almost a month and a half now.
I suppose. It is bright and sun shiny! And I'm going to the comic book store today. And I've already had donut holes this morning!
The donut story is a thing.
Yesterday, my daughter lost her bookmark. It was one she made herself. So, being female and emotionally hysterical on occasions, she was freaking out and crying about it.
So I promised her donuts this morning.
Oh, before I forget....
...Happy Birthday to the great William Henry Pratt!
Watched my new 4K copy of Dragonslayer last night. Pretty good transfer. Great movie. And my daughter finally got to see what a real dragon should be like. Vermithrax Perjorative!
Toothless who?
As I watched the movie, I got to thinking...
Peter MacNicol is 70 years old now. Wouldn't it be cool if they did some kind of sequel to Dragonslayer with him as master sorcerer and a new apprentice. Maybe not a dragon as the villain, but something equally as cool.
Except, of course, this being modern Hollywood, they'd screw it up by making it for a "modern audience".
In other words, it would most likely suck.
Work was pretty decent yesterday. I got a lot done. Some site packages re-issued for review on one project. Some HDD calcs completed for another project. And a few RFIs answered.
And still those idiot bureaucrats in New Mexico are slow walking my damned PE license.
Now I just have to hope they don't lose my paperwork. They're known to do that.
I also have to hope my baby girl doesn't remember I also promised she could have popcorn and a movie today.
I don't want to share my popcorn if it's avoidable.
And it's only a little after 8 am. I think I have time for another cup of coffee.
That and a little mapping should complete my morning quite nicely.
I've got to remember to bring my copy of The Grey God Passes to the comic book store with me. I think they might find it interesting.
Why does Blackpink not do more songs like Stay? It's a really decent song, and I think it showcases their singing talents much better than most of their songs.
Yes, I listen to some K-Pop. It started showing up in my Youtube feed after I watched some Korean Language shows on Netflix. Leaving aside the creep factor of digital systems working together to spy on us, some of the K-Pop music is decent. It's mixed in with my other musical tastes on Youtube - stuff like Creedence, old Country music, Sabbath, Rush, AC/DC, etc.
I tend to have music on in the background when I'm working on a map. Sometimes when I play a video game.
Anyway...coffee, mapping, then shower and off to do stuff.
Happy Sunday?!?
It is Sunday? Isn't it?
Well, yesterday was grocery store and comics. So, yes. Sunday. Huzzah!
So far, it's a nice, quiet morning.

Blessed silence.
I forget which lesson that is, but Chiun would know.
I don't think I have much to do today, beyond the usual that is. Nothing that requires leaving the house. Maybe I can actually get off my procrastinating butt and do some bagging and boarding.
I might have to do a bit of re-arranging of my comic storage though. I think these mylar bags take up a bit more space. So I'll have to adjust some of the drawer contents.
I did realize yesterday something I'd been meaning to do but had forgotten....Give the dog a bath. Now I have to wait for a weekend with warm weather.
And I really need to remember to pay my car insurance.
I did just recall there is one thing I COULD leave the house for today - bowls. The furry little turd has, over the past month or two, destroyed several of them. Luckily, these were all cheap-ass bowls I picked up at Walmart.
So I could go over to Walmart and pick up some new bowls. I think there might be a few other things I'd need to do or purchase in that same general direction. Just bowls wouldn't be worth the trip.
When did chicks attaching little decorations to their finger nails become a thing? It's something I've noticed. Not in real life, just in some videos.
Now that I think about it, I really should own Remo Williams on physical media. I wonder if it's on 4K....
I doubt it. Amazon has it on DVD, but doesn't say anything about 4K. Has a Blu-ray, too, but it's Region 2 and won't play in NA.
I should get both Remo and Buckaroo Banzai. :-)

I like the way you think. When the zombiepocalypse happens, we'll try to eat you last.
The kids are out of school all week, so I get to leave early again. Which typically means less traffic. The drive wasn't awesome. There were still a few obstacles when I got up close to the interstate. Overall, however, it wasn't too bad.
And I don't think we have any drawings or documents that need issuing here at work this week, so it should be a fairly easy time in the office.
I'm planning to be in the office all day today and all day tomorrow. Then I'll work a half day on Wednesday. The office is closed on Thursday and Friday.
WOOT! Extra-long weekend!!
We currently don't have anything planned for Thursday. Normally we'd go over to my brother's house, but he took his family on a cruise. They left Saturday and won't be back until Friday (I think).
