But, that's why zombie has children! They can bring joy!
Hippos are so damn useful.

Me and the wife had a great weekend in monterey eating fresh seafood and chipotle bacon bloody marys. Whoever came up with this concoction I give you my pass to be eaten last during the inevitable zombie apocalypse...Yes it was that good

Had a nice visit at Lowe's today. Looked at the grill I want to buy, but I'm gonna order it off of Amazon. Lowe's would have had to special order it anyway, and I've got a $200 Amazon gift card I've been trying to figure out how to spend.
While at Lowe's I also bought a bird feeder for the back porch, as well as a plant and a wooden pot/basket to put it in. Just to spruce things up back there a bit.
Eventually, I'll get some actual furniture, instead of just some fold out chairs.
What kind of bird feeder was it?

Long day, but spiced with home-made English muffins, bacon and carnitas!
Sundays always go too fast

Happy Monday! Didn't think it would start out that way. Felt ugh-ish getting out of bed. Then I remembered, I always feel that way!

Ordered a new grill last night. It'll arrive somewhere around Thursday!
Speaking of Thursday, it's my wife's birthday. I have not yet gotten her any gifts. I am not worried.
Did you ever notice that "and tired" always follows "sick"?
I actually got to use that line in a conversation this morning.

I know I am sick and tired of working in a building owned by a sorry-azz ex-hockey goon. Man if I didn't hate sports with a passion already, interacting with this former hockey pro would drive me to it. Narcissistic, entitled, druggie, townie, piece of trash.
Sorry. /rant

I don't post at the same (relative) time anymore. As well, I typically only post from my phone, and for just a few minutes. Such are the perils of non-government employment.

But I have been enjoying revitalizing some of my older aliases. You know, those ones I would always passive-aggressively attack poor, misunderstood a~@$~!@s with, just so hey wouldn't know who it really was.
Actually, I might have just insulted a%@!&*@s everywhere.
Tin Foil Yamakah wrote: Looks like someone has a fan club Where have you been? I've always had a fan club.
People f!~#ing love me.
Or they viciously snipe at me.
I know what I need (besides more coffee)....
And now I've been here too long.
Come back zombeh come back!
But only for a little while. Plenty to get done today.
Tomorrow is the wife's birthday. I had no clue what to get her. So I went to Walmart last night, initially intending to just get a couple of birthday cards, a happy birthday sign, maybe gift card or two. Then I was gonna take off a bit early tomorrow and hit the mall for some last minute frenzy shopping.
As I was walking through Walmart, it hit me - I could go for quantity!! So, she's getting some Reese's Peanut Butter cups (and two bags of their alternate larval forms), a 16-pair shoe rack, a candle warmer, a picture frame, a cover for her Kitchen Aid mixer, a set of four wine glasses, and maybe some stuff I'm forgetting.
Did I mention I ordered my new grill? Weber Genesis E-310! 637 square inch, 38,000 BTU natural gas grill! The new house comes with a built-in gas hook up on the back porch. Should arrive tomorrow.
I found the model on consumersearch.com (top rated), went over to Lowe's to get a look at it in real life, then ordered it from Amazon (had $200 gift card).
Grumbly tummy is grumbly. Stoopid jambalaya.
The other night, after I sang the boy his bedtime song, he grabs my face and starts squeezing on either side of my mouth while saying "Hi, I'm daddy". I laughed.
Anyway, that's it for me this morning. Gotta get some work done. These ISOs ain't gonna engineering check themselves.
Well, that was a kind of sucktastic day. But at least dinner was yummy. Broiled beef kabobs (with peppers and onions) and bacon wrapped asparagus.
Sad zombie is sad. It appears the "hide" function is starting to malfunction. At least for me. I could swear I've hidden some of those threads before.
Either that, or space-time begins to fluctuate whenever I'm logged in here.
Tomorrow, my grill will come!!!

New grill day is always awesome. I am doing the charcoal thing on a $25 weber special because the wife purely hates the taste gas/propane imparts to food. I'm easy either way.
Same here - charcoal, gas. I'm all good no matter what. But the house came with the hookup, so I figured what the hell.

And I've already got the grill's first use planned. The wife's birthday is today, and my sister-in-law is leaving my younger brother home with the kids all weekend. I'll take tomorrow (and maybe a bit tonight) to put it together. On Saturday, my brother will bring the kidlets over, I'll set up the pool (weather permitting) and we'll grill up some hotdogs and burgers. Huzzah!!

After the wife went to bed last night, I set up the birthday banner, balloon, and her birthday cards. Depending on when the kidlets wake her up, she should see them soon.

Also, today is my oldest brother's wedding anniversary! Huzzah for he and his wife!
All right. Busy day. Lots of shit to get done. And I'm hoping to get out of here a wee bit early.
Somewhat successful day yesterday. Got some documents issued. Things worked out well with the wife's birthday. Got my new grill. All in all, not too shabby.
Speaking of the new grill - I started to put it together last night. Got about half-way before it got too late. And, of course, I've already made some notations/corrections to the instructions.
