The C Deck Makes The Game Easier?

I suspect that adding the C deck to our game made it way easier.

A small part of the effect would have been adding some low-level monsters and barriers. I'm not sure how many of them are non-basic non-elite and would have lasted until the end. Anything that did last would have diluted the monsters at the top.

A much larger effect was giving us extra spells and blessings. In particular, there were _three_ Cure spells in the C deck. Our characters ran with all or nearly all of the Cures, so we (four characters) had double the healing power compared to a group without the C deck.

If I had it to do over, I think I would run without the C deck.

the purposeof the c deck is to add enough boons for 5-6 decks to be built at the same time as well as adding some special stuff for the characters in the deck ie. amulet of mighty fists for sanjan.

You are likely correct in that the C deck may make the game easier. There are really cool boons, and as you point out some good spells.

The preponderance of cures is likely due to the fact that Lini and Seelah both appear in the deck, and both would likely want the cure spell. If those two want to tag-along with Kyra for an all-divine group, then there could be issues if they can't all get Cure (since it may be the only "defense" they get against failing lots of other checks).

We pretty much always play with the Add-On deck regardless of the number of characters playing. It's fine!

So wait, we have a large group that says "Don't add the Add-On if you're not running more than 4 characters (or if you have a small party 2-3)" because it dilutes the loot you get making you weaker as you go through the game, and now we have a group that says adding the Add-On makes it easier because you have several easier banes that get added.

I'd suggest looking at those banes again because there are several that are really hard that get added. Not to mention the fact that you get a ton of extra BotG's which clog your Blessing Deck throughout the game. I'm pretty sure it is pretty well-balanced.
