Playing Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–24: Assault on the Wound?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

There are many reasons that Scenario #5–24 is unique, and one of them is that it allows a player to use certain Season 5 Chronicle sheets earned by any of his characters for special benefits during the adventure.

If you're signed up to play this adventure, strongly consider bringing along other Season 5 Chronicle sheets you may have acquired for any character.

Thanks!

The timeline for #5–25 involves the adventure happening just after #5–24, but there are no special boon-related considerations for those playing it.

Does this mean I should drop this scenario from my con schedule if I haven't been able to play any other season 5 scenarios? I wouldn't want to play if it meant being a detriment to the party or having a high chance of death without these boons.

Paile: You are Much Less Cool in this scenario without the boons. Swap tickets with someone looking to play this, definitely!

That said, while I think I could give you a fun experience playing this whether or not you've played the others, but it's a very unique scenario and I don't think you'd find it as enjoyable as some of the lead-in games.

Mr Compton: Is there a print-ready 1-inch-scale version of the map shared between pages 7 and 9 of the scenario available for us? If we don't have to manufacture one between now and Friday I'd be a much happier PaizoCon GM.....

I am borrowing a friend's roll mat that has hexes on one side.

Yeah, I left my MondoMat at home because it's a pain in any transportation I don't control. We're working on a poster-printable version to fire at the Staples production queue in the next hour or so.

Damn connectivity is poor on the Empire Builder....

If you could make an extra copy I'd gladly pay you for it!

It's a bit of a toss-up, really. Playing some of the scenarios that lead up to this will give you a fuller experience and more options, but the scenario is written in such a way that anyone can have an exciting time.

There is not a 1–inch–scale version in-house. The map is borrowed from the inside cover of Pathfinder Campaign Setting: The Worldwound, which might behave a little strangely if blown up further. Try it out and see.

Our results seemed well received. We'll work with Paizo to get a properly rightsed download made for that map hopefully...
