No problemo. Oh and you can also call me by any of my RPG aliases Thok, Log, Angus, Wulgar, Ulfrek, Ugrek*EDIT Should be Ugrok* the Enduring, Thyoden, Roland... that list could go on awhile I try not to use the same name for more than one character and eventually we will get to my Star Wars and Mutants and Masterminds Character names and then to the obscure shit lol or you can just call me by my real name, Jacob lol

Pleased to meet you, Jacob. Please do drop by Elkhaven if it survives to game time.

I hope your sojourn abroad lasts as long as you want it to and becomes your best memory so far.

exactly 2 years would be ideal, if I can get them to approve my 3 month early discharge for continued education and my 3 months of terminal leave XD. Then I can go finish my degree while working part time at Rolls Royce who has been trying to give me a job since the last time I was supposed to get out of the military lol Once I have the degree I can apply for a full time position managing the maintenance department at the factory in the town I grew up in! lol I am a bit of a schemer hahaha

And how rude of me, The pleasure is all mine Caldeathe Baequianna. I say the full name as in some cultures it is considered a dishonor to have any part left out, now I ask if calling you Cal would be acceptable?

Cal is perfectly fine, or Kent.

No Reg Forcers on our team. But two former Naval Reserve (I'm one of them) and two active Naval Reservists. My own father, and two of his brothers were active in Europe in WWII, and their two younger brothers were in Korea.

Active Navy here, I have 2 cousins active Navy, 2 cousins Army National Guard, 2 cousins who recently got out of the Army, 1 cousin thats a Marine. My father was navy for 20 years and when they said retire the army said we will take ya, so he does that now. 2 of his 3 sisters served in the Air Force. he has so many cousins I don't even know most of them, my mom has a cousin active navy and one thats retired navy and her uncle bill was Navy. My fathers Father and his brother Ira served in the military during WWII I dont know what Ira did or what branch he was in because his Wife Geneva is the only person who knows what the hell he is saying. Grandpa was a medic in the Army Air Corps Air Rescue then the war ended and when he saw Korea getting ready to happen he went into the Airforce for electronics to avoid being drafted again. Only two things we have never had in our family, Officers and Coast Guard lol. *Edit* And my mothers father was a cop with a wife and 3 kids when Vietnam started, when he tried to enlist the Recruiter threw him out of the office in a less than polite manner.

You have more invested in the service than a lot of small cities. I hope the nation appreciates what it has.

Where are you stationed?

Currently on TAD orders to VA then off to Guam in a couple weeks. The military has yet to appreciate any of our service, in fact many of us get cycled and abused like a craftsman's favorite hammer... lol

What rate? I was MM(N).

I wanted to post a note of appreciation for your service. I was almost Marines until some scholarships came through for college. My dad was Navy, granddad was Marines, and father-in-law was Air Force. Two cousins are Army Rangers and one step-brother was Navy Seals. While I didn't go military, I did manage to get in at the VA (not the hospital or benefits areas, so no attachment to the drama there) and try every day to ensure I do some work that will help our vets even if it's just ensuring we don't buy $400 hammers.

Either that's funnier than it seems, or it's even funnier than it seems.

I am a 3354/3364/3374 Nuclear EM1(SS) with the Senior Supervisor NEC and the Radiological Control Technician NEC. When I put TAD to VA I meant the state not the Veterans Affairs lol. And yes Cal it is funnier than it seems... and even funnier than it seems, then more tragic than it seems lol You know how often a craftsman's favorite hammer gets used? He will use it before any other hammer and sometimes he even uses it to do jobs hammers weren't meant for because it just gets the job done faster and better than the tool(lol) that should have been doing that job. It gets used hard and put up wet with out so much as a thank you lol

All I know is that despite being married, mine doesn't get used often enough.

Goblin Squad Member

"There's guys thinking of getting married, and I hear them say stuff like 'I don't know if I could have sex with one woman for the rest of my life.' Where are you getting that twisted fantasy? You're not gonna have sex with one woman. You're gonna have sex with zero women." Louis CK is a genius... lol *Edit oh and on the topic of being that sorta craftsman getting married is like becoming management and never using your hammer again and being forced to watch other people use theirs all the time... hahahaha

Goblin Squad Member

Well, I wouldn't say zero....

Thanks again nerfherder! Best of luck to you while you're overseas

Goblin Squad Member

Thank you for your service, Nerfherder, and best of luck while you're away.

Goblin Squad Member

Cool, cool. Well good luck. Hope they don't stick you on an aircraft carrier operating elevators...

Good luck with your deployment, Jacob, and thanks again for your generosity.
