Hi all, I'm on holiday at the moment in Germany, and was thrilled to find rise of the rune lords base set, I've been unable to get it in England, oki after I get all the add on packs and completed the game, can you continue to play ie make up your own adventures or is it over, also just noticed the s&s boxed set, can the monsters from this be combined in the rune lord game, I'm new to the board and card game scene so any help would be great, thanks.

First of, if you completed all APs, there isn´t anything officialy to keep playing. But just take a look in the Homebrew Section and you will find tons of player-created scenarios to have fun with.
Secound, there isn´t really anything that would hinder you from mixing the two base sets, expect the theme and the fact that you have more of everything, so it is less likly to encounter something specific.
And normaly this would be Hawkmoons "job", but i substitute,
Welcome to the Forum, have fun and ask everything you like, someone will know the answer.

The official adventure path ends once you finish the Perils adventure (part of the base set) and the 6-deck Rise adventure path. However, as Fenris said, there's a LOT of user-created content (scenarios, adventures, characters, rules, etc.) than you can get into to expand the use of the game.
S&S is designed to be a stand-alone base set, but there are threads in the forums that talk about ways to incorporate both games together. My though it that S&S will be better suited to play on its own, but if someone really wants to combine them, it can be done.

Also, the game plays very differently based on how many characters are in your group, and which characters they are. Try the initial scenario with any pair of characters, then immediately try it again with a completely different set of 4 or 5 characters, and you'll see what I mean. So you may find even with the provided adventures that there is a surprising amount of replayability.

you can even replay the same character, going a different focus and find the game differently. For example, play Lini as a caster through the first couple of decks, then switch out and play her again as a melee character. they both have similar elements, but in the former you'll be packing more offensive spells, and in the latter, you'll be packing more support spells.
