Turns out Oladon's one is done already as well. Still going to be a bit of a wait on the others though.
It turned out fantastic. I'm really happy with it.

I'll try to get started on the blog entries soon, but work is thrashing me at the moment, so it may be delayed.
So I've got a couple of blog entries I've had planned for a while that need to be written, then I'll be getting to work on the first of the first character update.
Timing is going to be dependent on how long it takes me to finish this current rant I'm writing about moronic nature of the Australian Classification Board and how they deal with video games... struggling a bit at the moment, as I'm up to draft number four, and so far each one has degenerated into near incomprehensible profanity and bile spewing due to the vast amounts of anger the topic raises for me... cathartic, yes... publishable as is, most certainly not.
Working on the descriptive fiction for the first three characters at the moment. Taking some time, I'm jumping from character to character as I get stuck on each one in an attempt to stop myself from getting completely bogged down. Limited success. Further delays may be caused because I still have some other stuff I'm working on as well, and I'm also likely to have to make a trip down the coast for a few days, as my father is apparently rather unwell. Depending on what it's diagnosed as, I may be making a speedy run for it.
Had a message from the artist after I followed up with him a week ago, something weird is going on with fiverr right now where the jobs are open but not appearing in his queue. He said he'd try to get them done in a day or so, sent a follow up last night. Haven't heard back yet.
EDIT: Huh. Speak of the devil. Literally 2 minutes after I posted this, I got an email saying that the work had been delivered. So I've got Solemn_Reaper's picture, and the artist said Mikaze's one isn't far behind.
We have Mikaze's character as well!
Okay. Now I really need to get myself in gear on the descriptions.

Mikaze now has his character... Haven't heard back from Solemn_Reaper with the email to send the image to. If anyone here knows Solemn, and has a way to get in contact with him, please let him know I've PM'ed him here and would like to send him his picture.

I've got to get a few more of my characters done sometime soon as well. Particularly my bard from Reign of Winter. Xargin the Mad has a mighty need for a portrait :P
All images have been sent out now. Still plugging away on the blog posts for them, I've got Thursday and Friday off work, so I'll try and get some done in there if I can, but sadly a fair bit of that time is already booked out by medical appointments, work being done on my apartment, and a few other things I've gotta get done. Hopefully I should be able to sit down for a while at some point and try to just write though.
Hey all.
Just wanted to drop by and give a bit of explanation about the delay on the descriptions for the blog.
I've had long term issues with my sleep patterns (it's not unusual for me to go without sleep for up to 72 hours, until my body gives up and I sleep for a stupidly long time... if any of you have ever noticed my posts on the boards getting irrational and snappy, that's the most likely culprit) Over the last year it's gotten worse, and particularly during the last few months. It's gotten to the point that I'm lucky to get a few hours of unbroken sleep a night if I sleep at all, and it's starting to have severe knock on effects with my energy levels, as well as my ability to do anything that requires much creative thinking... Hell, as it is I can barely make it through a day at work (Luckily I have a very understanding manager and co-workers who are willing to laugh off my current tendency to slip into microsleeps all day rather than get irate about it). I've learnt the definition of somnolence, and I've quickly grown to hate it.
Thankfully I finally managed to get my doctor to understand what exactly I meant about being tired all the time and having trouble sleeping, and I'm booked in for a sleep study at the end of the month to try to figure out exactly what's going on, but in the mean time it's practically impossible for me to think clearly enough to write anything of reasonable quality, or do anything that needs more than a bit of creativity. I'm seriously considering even stopping running my Shattered Star game until it's sorted out, because I'm having difficulty adapting to my player's actions on the fly.
So long story short, that's what the hold up has been lately. About the most I can handle at the moment is writing reviews. I work on the descriptions in short bursts when I've got the energy and clarity to do so, but that's all too rare. Hopefully the sleep study will help and I'll get back on track soon.
Anyway, if those who got the portraits still want to do their character introductions, I'd still really like to see them. They can be PMed to me here or emailed to me (you should all have my email from when I sent the art). I still 100% plan on getting the blog posts up, if you're still keen to see them, I just can't guarantee when I'll be able to get them done. Wish I could, but I can't, and I hope you understand.
