I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of how monsters stats are given in D&D Next.
Did WOTC go back to including a frequency lair as they were in 1st edition?
How do they lay out the number of monsters appearing? Is it similar to 3rd edition or something else entirely different?
I've been working on random encounter tables for Greyhawk and I am wondering how much re-writing to expect.

I don't think the hardcover core books have come out yet, nor do I think that the playtest would have covered your question.
The D&D Next monster stats for Murder in Balder's Gate and Legacy of the Crystal Shard can be downloaded for free at WoTC's website. The only change that's been mentioned by the devs is replacing "level" with "CR" in the Encounter Building line.
