How many players are left? The game started with 7 players, but APs are designed for 4. So, even with attrition of 3, we still have a viable party (modulo potential party makeup).

Guys, I'm on my honeymoon and will be out till the 30th. If you need to replace me, I understand.
Very hearty Congratulations!
For goodness sake, pay no attention to us until you get back.
Dieter Stolzdorf
Of all the reasons to be busy with RL, a honeymoon may be one of the best reasons. :) Congrats!
We can just sock-puppet him for a while until he is ready again.
Sweet Lucille
I'll also be on vacation for about a week starting on the Fourth of July. (PaizoCon plus extended trip to Seattle). Should be able to post intermittently during that time, but wanted to give you a heads up.
I'm a bit concerned that Bollwerk is our only Divine caster...but if you think we can make it through with the group we have, I'm willing to give it a try.

I'm going to be gone from Thursday through Sunday -- also going to PaizoCon.
(Sweet Lucille aka pH Unbalanced: perhaps we'll run into each other. I'm "Rob Knop" in real life. Playing PFS 05-09 Friday morning, running PFS 05-04 Friday afternoon, doing the special Friday night, playing a Midgard game Sat. morning, running PFS 05-04 again Saturday afternoon, banquest Sat. evening, runing "Find Jatembe!" Sun. morning (and afternoon).)

Oh cool! I'm signed up for your afternoon session of Find Jatembe!, so if I don't run into you before that, I'll definitely see you then. My name's Phoebe Harris.

I'm back from PaizoCon! It was a blast. I had fun running a level 12 / mythic tier 4 mythic homebrew game, with pH Unbalanced (aka Sweet Lucille) playing a solid, reliable, dense (in two senses of the word) and food-loving dwarven guardian.

I'm going to preemptively suggest we recruit a healer. Or allow a current party member to undergo character surgery to fill the gap. That isn't a role we can do without.
Fabian Moldonado
Indeed, having a healer would be nice.
If I didn't screw it up, this is our current list of active players:
- Bollwerk: Tiefling Paladin
- Fabian: Elf Wizard
- Dieter Stolzdorf: Aasimar Swashbuckler
- Kazul: Half-Orc Rogue
- Sweet Lucille: Human Cavalier
(I'm not sure what campaign traits everyone took, but unsurprisingly I took the "Riftwarden Orphan" trait that corresponds to the Archmage mythic path.)
Old Guy GM
I sincerly... and honestly apologize. I just found out that paladin can not lay on hands till level 2. Has been a while since I played with one at level 1. I just plain forgot it.
Cheater!!! See? Can't trust tieflings...
No really, we ALL missed it, me included. Just go with it, and say for this one time, Iomedae has granted you her blessing.
I agree with Dieter, this AP is not one that should go without a healer, decisions will have to be made as to when. I can fit one in soon, should I recruit? Does anyone have a great (and reliable) player they can recommend? Might speed up the process.
Fabian Moldonado
I fear I'm going to forget the HP rules every level, and will probably ask again every level :) That is, until we have a few levels under us, and I'll start to notice the pattern on my character sheet.
Fabian Moldonado
OK, I believe I have finished levelling up.
I took a rank in "Knowledge (Dungeoneering)" (which he didn't have before); I figured that made sense given very recent experience....
I took "floating disk" as one of my two free spells. (He's probably been working on researching it for a while; I always assume that's what the free spells at level up are.) It can carry 200lbs, so it might help with our broken-legged elf if things get awkward.
Fabian Moldonado
(By the way, I was really stupid above when I called Fabian an Elf Wizard... he's a human! Identity problems, you know. Desire to live a long time, etc.)

Backstory:
Farasha was born to a battle cleric of the Desnan faith, who while she loved her daughter, wanted her to be raised away from the horrors of the Worldwound conflict. Sent far away, she was raised by a foster family in Andoran, and her curiosity and drive led her naturally to be a part of the freedom fighter movement there for a while. Her thoughts were however never far from the catcher of dreams, and she felt a strong calling that led to her taking up the mantle of priestess of the faith.
Following her training, she wandered for a while gaining some experience on the road, ministering to those outlying villages and settlements that had no permanent religious voice. She still felt a calling though, a voice in her dreams urging her to return to the place of her birth, and to take up the mantle her mother had left for her.
Personality:
Farasha is very open-minded and accepting of others, she has a maturity way beyond her years, and an almost zen approach to her faith. She believes strongly in the tenets of freedom of choice, and will fiercely defend the oppressed, fighting remorselessly against tyrants and those who seek to conquer and enslave others against their will.
Appearance:
Of medium height with shoulder-length hair, she stands unabashed and relaxed, no matter the situation. Favoring long dresses and clothing that doesn't restrict her movement, her only accessory is the silver butterfly pendant that was the sole parting gift from her mother.
Expected role: healer and ranged striker
Playstyle sample:
Farasha surveyed the room, eyes glancing around to try and absorb as much as possible, despite the shift in light levels hindering her vision for a moment.
Sitting, standing and leaning on every spare space available, were men and women of all shades; armored or robed, fanatic or mercenary, Grizzled veterans and wet behind the ears rookies rubbing shoulders as they waited for the recruiter to open his books.
She drifted to the side of the door, one of the only spaces left, and chanced speaking to a rough-looking sellsword who had the appearance of someone who'd been on a tour of the Worldwound before.
Is it always like this? she asked quietly.
Aye lass he replied Whether they follow coin or conscience, the crusade draws a constant trickle o' men and women keen ter champion the cause. He looked her up and down
You're green up to yer eyeballs lass, you sure yer up to this? he raised an eyebrow.
Whatever this is, it's felt more right with every step I've taken walking to this place. She returned his gaze lightly, offering a slight smile.
Across the room, the scarred wooden hatchway creaked open, and the recruiting sergeant leaned across the desk, scowling at the assembled crowd, no-one wanting to be first it seemed.
Last chance then said the sellsword.
Time to conquer all doubt then she replied simply, threading her way through the room and standing before the sargeant, then asking
Where do I sign?
About me, I GM one game here and play in a few others, and usually post at least once a day including at weekends. I haven't played WotR before and it's probably the AP I know least about, lastly I have no experience with the Mythic rules at all! If all this sounds ok to you then I'd be more than happy to jump in :)
Old Guy GM
@Fiendish: Farasha looks good. Its probably better if you don't know much about the AP, makes it interesting! I am assuming that you read the Player's Guide, so you have the basics.
(I believe we are in Mardavig's Kingmaker together as well, although our characters have not interacted.)
Read up on the campaign so far (if you haven't already). Your placement will be in game shortly, I will outline how you got there below. If you wish, we can RP some of what you are doing - in spoilers of course - in the gameplay thread while the main thread catches up. That will keep you involved while the two threads come together.
You were not prepared for the horror that would break that tedium. The demons poured into Kenabres in waves of bloodthirsty destruction. You saved as many as you could, hiding women and children before the slavering hordes could find them. Demons and cultists roamed the streets, slaying all they could reach. Demons of gargantuan proportions clawed their way up from the depths, destroying buildings and creating huge rents in the ground. Your last memory of daylight was one that put the final mark on the betrayal of the day: you had a cultist in your sights, arrow nocked ready to fire, as he dragged a helpless child from a building. As he turned toward you, you recognized his face as that of the grizzled sergeant that recruited you.
Your bow dropped in shock, and in that moment, another great crevasse opened at your feet. Bumping and sliding along the falling rubble, you were dropped into an opening that could only have been a large tunnel. You hit your head on impact, and knew no more.
That was days (or was it weeks?) ago. It was hard to tell in this cavern. You awoke in a stone house underground, under the watchful eyes of what can only be described as deformed and mutated humanoids. They spoke perfect Common, although very softly, and with a thick accent. They spoke little, but when they did, they made sure to let you know you were safe...for now.
Sweet Lucille
And...I'm in the airport on the way home. Should be able to start posting again tomorrow.
Farasha Aeval
Awesome, glad to be on board :D Plus, hello Sebastian! Yup I've read the player's guide, I did think it was a bit thin on the ground from a creation guidelines POV compared to those APs that have gone before, but I got the gist of the campaign!
Farasha tries not to dwell on the attack, but down here there's precious little else to do. That last view of the sergeant before she fell sticks in her mind no matter how much she prays. She will try and find out more about her hosts, what they are doing, how long they've been here and what their plans are, whether they know anything about what's happening above.
She'll try to make herself useful healing anyone that is wounded.
Did she lose her bow when she fell down the crack or has she been able to recover it?
Happy to continue this in spoilers on the gameplay thread until we splice together, please advise which thread as there are two :)
Sweet Lucille
So...at 2nd level I picked up the Catch Off-Guard feat (bonus feat from my Order) which essentially makes me proficient with Improvised weapons. GM, what's your opinion on using a musket as an improvised melee weapon?
I think I'd propose treating it as a staff: 1d6 bludgeoning, 2-handed, non-finessable.
Next question would be if I would always threaten adjacent squares while holding it, or if there needs to be some sort of grip change, and what type of action that would be. I don't really have an opinion there.
(There's a deed that lets you attack with a musket butt for 1d10 at the cost of a Grit point without adjusting grip, but that seems like too much for a general purposes.)
Old Guy GM
Well, I was going to say you can always butt-stroke someone with a rifle-type weapon that doesn't require a grip change. I had to re-think a bit after you posted the deed. What I would say is that your feat allows you to use the butt-stroke and threaten adjacent without a grip change(its a feat after all) at the 1d6 + mods damage. If you want to hit harder, then the deed and Grit allow you to get to 1d10.

I'm going to be moving next Monday (the 28th). As such, my Internet access is going to become extremely spotty for at least a week. I'll try to keep up, but it's possible I won't be able to.
Sweet Lucille
I'm back! Thanks for watching over me.
Glad you're feeling better.
