Aasimar Pyromancer trait question

pyromancer–+1 trait bonus on damage rolls for any spell you cast with the fire descriptor. Spells that do not deal damage do not benefit from this trait.

Is this +1 damage total, or +1 damage per die of damage?

Would a 5d6 fireball do 5d6+1 damage or 5d6+5 damage?

+1 total; if it was per die, then it would've said per die. Instead it's per roll, and that 5d6 is just one big roll. On the other hand, if you were talking about Scorching Ray then each ray would have it's own separate damage roll of 4d6, in which case you might get more than just that +1 (since the damage rolls of each ray are independent of one another).
