You say "Two?! Are you out of your mind?"
Actually, I am not. I am recruiting for two spots to round up my group in this campaign, and I feel really bad that I will have to reject eight of the applicants. That's really not nice, you know, that characters are getting rejected.
The reason I got into my first game was that when I said I was giving up because I did not want to be frustrated, people were super nice and encouraged me to come back.
So I would like to see if there are any GMs interested in creating a Carrion Crown game and giving these guys a shot at it :)
(If you are in doubt about GMing it, like I was, just go for it. It does not take up much time to catch up with the first adventure's content, you can do it over a week while commuting (the note-taking may take some non-commuting time, though), and the backbone of the story as well as enemies and stats are already laid out, so all you have to do is be creative, which is the fun part of GMing anyways).
Please think about it :)

The last time I GM'd a game was Rogue Trader about a year ago, and I've not played many PBP games (never on Paizo itself actually) but if you're fine with a somewhat inexperienced GM with regards to the medium but with enough RPG books to build himself a sizable fort then I'd be up for joining you.
I'll admit I may be a little bogged down till the middle of this week coming for the majority but my request/offer whatever it is that I've just done... Is there all the same.
Pleasure to make your acquaintance.
*bows and tips his hat to you all.*

Mr. Fabricator, thank you! I am fairly inexperienced, but I think these days being willing to do it and keep doing is more important than having an outstanding GM-resume...
I have collected the applicants' profiles under the "Recruits" spoiler in this page. By the time you are unbogged down (bogged up?) we will already have chosen our two players, but please take a look to choose your party, and hopefully we will find someone else willing to GM too :)

Well, to re-iterate the events...
It all started with a tavern RP which served as recruitment stage for a different Carrion Crown campaign. The setting was a tavern on the road to Ravengro, one and half days worth of travel from it and shortly before the prospected funeral. After that I rounded up a group myself and looked for a GM. The discussion thread of the campaign we started ourselves can be found here. We found one within five hours, but... well, let's just say things didn't go as planned.
Prospected team mates:
Maia was also invited, but she's already on the list and a candidate for a different group.
I didn't strictly invite Kye (CKorfmann's character) - for reasons of the groups composition - but he showed outstanding RP and creativity and would certainly be next on the list.
So, I am not sure whether any of this is helpful in any way, but I just don't want to let those people down. :/
Menadra is my character and would love to play either, but Narah somewhat more. However, I do not create a character without investing myself fully in it. I made some changes to Menadra today - I primarily dropped strength by two, added four Int and did some shifting with skills and feats.
There is still dire demand for GMs when it comes to Carrion Crown and anyone who's able and willing would be most appreciated. :) Gladly more than two...

I put the current applicants into a single one list for easier overview. Any GM is welcome to pick their prey.
Carrion Crown Recruits (Google Docs Spreadsheet)
Additional fields I thought about:
• Projected character plans... (especially important for Kye, just "Oracle" gives a wrong impression)
• Highest Attribute (especially important for Mirelinza, since she's a high dex paladin)
• Characters linked with others (without being alts, i.e. rl friends, or in my case those who have a history)
Oh, my personal favorite, from a quick look over it was Mirelinza, which is why I left my own paladin alt out. Though... there seems to be something wrong with the equipment selection: Several +5 weapons...

I have to say I'm utterly confused. Though that may be more due to the fact that I'm rather knackered after work (especially since they decided that an entire floor needed to be refitted and we became porter's instead of IT technicians today ¬_¬).
But yes, so can I try and understand this a bit more.
We're running Carrion Crown, correct?
Are you wanting more GM's so that each one can take a party of adventurers through the campaign so that the applicants all are able to have a shot at the module? And how many games of this are currently being ran in this campaign?
I have to ask, is Narah a GM or a Player? I mean so far I've gathered that Narah has two characters that she'd want to play in a game.
Also as I've never created a character on here before, when I've been looking over the current applicants for the campaign I've been racking my brain trying to work out how it is they've managed to create them and set them up in the layout they have since for example my Alias' don't have anywhere near the options they seem to have. (it's just done with BBCode in a description somewhere isn't it? Rather than it being laid out already...)
As I've re-read what's been said more and more it is coming across as wanting people to just start up additional campaigns, if I'm understanding it right? As it's now 1am and I started this post about an hour or two ago my train of thought may have become slightly derailed and found itself an entirely new track.
I have to agree about Mirelinza, that something is odd about the +5. However upon closer inspection I believe it's simply listing that roll modifiers for attack. Given that she has a BAB of +1 and a Dex of +4. Which is why her Scimitar is +1 while the Rapier is +5.

I am a player. We're looking for GMs. As far as I am concerned not necessarily for all players, but primarily for those with which I already played in said tavern RP which served as introduction...
It doesn't usually work this way in this forum, but it doesn't hurt to ask, nor to organize players which are currently interested. The player's listed here here mostly already applied to previous games but didn't make it into the group - which doesn't necessarily make them worse, since GMs do not necessarily pick the "best". Who's good or bad is highly subjective anyway.
Previously I tried to assemble a group as a player and posted a "looking for GM" along with folks I had already played with. We found a GM within five hours, but after a couple of days it turned out he didn't have the adventure anymore.
I don't know how many campaigns there are running and / or starting, but it's at least three that I know of. In practice, counting the campaigns which are on for months, it's likely a lot more.
Also as I've never created a character on here before, when I've been looking over the current applicants for the campaign I've been racking my brain trying to work out how it is they've managed to create them and set them up in the layout they have since for example my Alias' don't have anywhere near the options they seem to have. Below the text input boxes there is a button "How to format your text [Show]", there is the code described.

Right well having slept and woken up. My brain is better able to process everything, including re-reading some of my own conclusions from last night.
But yes, I'm up for running this with about 4-5 people. And I understand what you mean about the remaining players not being worse than those who've already been selected. Since at the end of the day, group composition is quite important.
I'll I may need some help with setting it up given that I've not ran one on Paizo's site before and my inability to find certain things may hinder me but I'll have a look when I can till I've freed myself up from current issues irl.
I have to admit the "How to format your text [Show]" is probably one of the most in-depth and well laid out I've ever seen. But my main issue in understanding the character "sheet" on the profile was I couldn't find out where it was done. Have to admit it wasn't as easy to find at first but now I've found it I can't believe I'd missed it.

Actually, the possibilities are relatively poor...
I particularly miss the table formatting which would be direly needed on skill sheets. Personally I'd prefer a kind of wiki for character sheets.

That's a bit counter intuitive. You first must create an "alias", all characters are basically message board aliases. In order to do so
- click "My Account" in the top right toolbar (best open in it in a new tab right now)
- confirm your password if you're asked
- in the control panel there is a section "Messageboard Aliases". Click on "Create New Alias".
- You will need to select a name and optionally an icon and a faction for that alias. Click "Submit Changes" when you're done.
- Back in the overview click the name of the alias (not the edit button).
- Once there click the "profile" button. There you have the opportunity to add a profile... much like profile for your own account.
Once you have an alias you do not need to go over the account management page to get there, you can also click your own name or icon anywhere and go to the aliases tab in the main account public profile.

Fabricator, just be aware you are volunteering to run the Carrion Crown Adventure Path.
Running such Adventure Paths over Play-by-Post (PbP) averages around 3 to 5 years.
As long as you know what you are getting yourself into, godspeed.

@Nebten - I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere, where all my old gaming buddies have moved away, don't talk to eachother (or me), or have been saddled with their newly created spawn. And whenever I attempt to part-take in online freeform RP with others it usually breaks down after a few weeks after I've poured heart and soul into the creation of a character and a interesting concept behind it. So joining something with the understanding that it will last beyond the bright and fresh start is rather appealing. Though I hadn't realised it was likely to take the next half a decade.
@Narah - I've already created a new alias, and will probably have a better look at that later on but thank you for the guide to get there. Like I said, having not known at first it was confusing but once I'd done it, it was obvious. Much to my annoyance. My main issue was I hadn't known how to alter the profile for my own account let alone for the alias in the first place.
And in regards to character sheets I've found that Mythweavers is a decent site for them, take for example - Character Sheet1 that I drafted up.

From my PbP experience, you don't notice that time go by. I am happy, though, that your intent is to play a whole adventure path :)

You can also try things like PCGen and HeroLab, although imo HeroLab is pricey.

Sorry, I was busy with family yesterday and work today.
Campaign trait was Chance Savior.

Since I was considering replying to Narah's previous thread, but ended up not doing so since a GM was found, I figure I should at least reply to this one!
I'm currently running two other PBPs here (Council of Thieves and Legacy of Fire), both of which I've inherited from other GMs (the first one about 2 years ago, the second about 4 months ago). I think it would be somewhat poetic if the first PBP I start myself is one where the PCs were inherited from another GM's recruitment thread :)
So.. If you would have me as GM, I'd be happy to take on Narah's group (preferably no more than 5 players).

I'll send PMs out to the group right away.
Oh, the game thread is here: http://paizo.com/campaigns/TheRestorationOfRavengro/discussion&page=2#8 7

I've got a brand new discussion thread for you here; I don't see much point in requesting to take over the existing one when it doesn't yet have a gameplay thread. Check in over there, and we'll get started :)

I was nattering to one or two of my friends about this adventure path which now has them interested. Well I say one or two, it's managed to fill a full group in all honesty.
In addition to that my issue for having to hold off on selecting from the current pool has yet to finish Since I'm currently over deadline for a unit of coursework and as much as my imagination loves pathfinder my procrastination has sky-rocketed of late. So either a group on here or this possible one with my IRL friends wouldn't be likely to start till the middle-end of may. And while I'd most likely try to pick up 1-2 people due to essentially having failed to keep my end of running a group here I have faith that they'll have found one by then. And also because I'd rather stick to having closer to four people rather than running this with six.
Not to mention that there was about 18-19 people and there appears to be three GM's running 5 player games so there is quite possibly a good chance I could always add a couple of the remaining when I do start up this other game.
But all in all, I would like to apologise for pretty much dropping out as a GM for the moment.
