2 quick questions.

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

Silver Crusade

Just started playing the game. We have a great core group of players but I do two quick questions.

If our paladin has 2 swords in their hand, can she use both? We think not, but want to be sure.

Can you move your character to a closed location? We closed all the locations but one and move the dwarf hunter to a closed location so he could assist. Is this okay?

Thanks!

Quick answers: No, Yes.

1. No for two reasons. You can only use one card of a given type on a check. Also, you can only use one card that changes your die for a check (such as a weapon or an attack spell).

However, you could use a sword and then use the special power of a dagger to add another 1d4.

2. You can move to any location. Sometimes you want to move to closed locations (the general store will have items you can encounter even after it's closed, and some locations have effects that continue after being closed). The closed status on a location simply means the villain can't escape to that location. You've claimed it.

Another interesting note is that the explore step is optional. So you could stay at a location and not explore, rather than moving to a closed location if you were low on hit points for example.

That works too, but there are banes that affect all players that are in an open location (e.g. Zombie Horde). You can stay at your current location and not explore (like if you can't manage the check to leave the Treacherous Cave and are near death), but you're safer if you go somewhere closed.
