I was well pleased at the difficulty level, I failed the first adventure, and breezed through the second, all the others really did come down to the wire. (I'm playing 6 character solitaire)
Mike et al, if you want a snap shot of these guys after finishing Stone Giants just ask.
I have finished it with two groups, and my big surprise was came on the character advancement front. I feel like my decks are leaps and bounds better than they were at the end of AP3, and I seemed to get far more progression than I had seen in from any of the previous three packs. I wondered if you felt the same, or if my experience was anomalous.
And,yes, the increased difficulty of the set was nice, though I still think they need to take it up a notch or three.

I've completed my one man solo run (Merisiel) and just finished swapping cards around and rebuilding decks to run my 6 character solitaire team through the adventure.
With Meri the only adventure I failed was the Harpy one although others came closer than what I've experienced in the past. I expect with more players the 25 blessings deck mission will almost certainly be harder. I'm also a bit worried about the troll henchmen as I don't have a massive amount of ways to do fire/acid damage (a few specific spells, Kyra has the flaming mace, and I believe I've given Sajan the +fire to his power). Sajan might really have to shine for things to work out as I expect him to be key against the Harpies as well.
I would also agree that with Meri I felt she grew a lot stronger - but I'd say it felt more like character feat wise, rather than with better cards. Other than the Emerald Codex and the Light Crossbow +1 that she pulled from the box when she took a weapon card feat, I'm not sure if she actually gained anything else card-wise from this.

Hi Joshua,
I'll take it a character at a time so I can gather my thoughts.
Merisiel. Not much progress. She seems to have lost the dynamism that she started the game with. That perhaps tells me my build is sub par. However she is a very good scout having the Wizard that may reshuffle if he reveals a monster, and two spyglasses
Sajan. Armed with two venomous daggers and 10 blessings he is nigh unstoppable. But that's pretty much how he finished pack 3 ! I do like how he shrugs off damage now (I've pumped his resistance to 2)
Seoni She is just a machine at dealing with enemies, I have used the eagle to slow down her deck a tad, and also provide invaluable scouting. The staff of Heaven and Earth just showed up at the end and I foresee this to be an amazing toll for her.
Lini This little gal single-handedly defeated the Villain in the 3rd scenario when the rest of the party was pretty much tapped out. Making two Divine rolls at 16! Her Pet now adds d4+4 = Yeah She ramped up :)
Kyra is probably the most complete character now. Impressive weaponry & Armour, devastating spells and healing. She also defeated a villain single handed using Holy Light then Impaler of Thorns to skewer him.
Valeros Is another machine when it comes to dealing with enemies. His weaponry much improved in this series, with a memorable moment being throwing 2 Longbow +1's and two other + 1 weapons back into the box after a scenario as better weaponry had showed up. He operates best with 2-3 weapons in hand and ancillary cards to deal with other occurrences or to explore. His deck is the most unbalanced. A handful of weapons is not uncommon.
