Last night my PCs finally did it: defeat Demogorgon and once and for all end the threat of the Shadow Pearls.
One of the PCs has claimed the throne of the Abyss.
This was a great campaign. We had a lot of fun, and a great final evening with some memorable fights, especially against St. Kargoth, and the final one against the Prince of Demons, which was still tough after all the PCs had done to weaken him.
However, they won, with some very clever manoeuvring and some very tactical use of spells.
We will be starting a different campaign soon. I have had my PCs choose one from several campaigns and they have chosen Reign of Winter. Very apt, with the Olympic Winter Games going on in Russia at the moment. And something very different from the Savage Tide!

TBA, of course I will be watching this forum and commenting when I have ideas.
Carborundum, I hope you will get to finish the campaign one day. When the children are older, you will have more time, and hopefully new players :-)
My daughter is 15 years old and will be playing in Reign of Winter.
I also DM for her and 3 other teenagers. We have played Crown of the Kobold King and Revenge of the Kobold King and they will be starting Hungry are the Dead soon. I like DM-ing for teenagers. For them all is new, so it reminds me of the days of First Edition.

Congrats! I ran this campaign several years ago, and it was epic. It's still probably my favourite D&D campaign that I've run. Currently, I'm working on Age of Worms and Rise of the Runelords, which are both going well. I think Age of Worms will give Savage Tide a run for its money as my fav when its done. I'm also considering Reign of Winter as the next campaign (no time soon though), mainly because it seems quite a bit different than the other campaigns.

Congratulations on finishing STAP! (I only just saw the announcement.)
While I look forward to running it some day, I have yet to even start STAP. :(
We have too many irons in the fire and have been slowed down by some unreliable (attendance) players in one group. To simplify things, I even started two "if not enough players turn up for the main campaign" campaigns, but to simplify things I chose RotR for both. (... I must be a sucker for punishment!)

I think you should run Way of the Wicked, PH - with a compulsory Campaign Log/ Story Hour, of course :-)
You guys would really rock that!

Reign of Winter is another AP which I've already collected and over which I am rubbing my hands in anticipation. :)
But I have realised that I had better check with some of the players before running RoW. They are parents of a small child, and RoW (especially parts 1 + 2) has some nasty - but true to its fairy tale origins - child endangerment.
