Bloodline Arcana: Whenever you cast a spell with an energy descriptor that matches your draconic bloodline's energy type, that spell deals +1 point of damage per die rolled.

Bloodline Arcana: You gain the orc subtype, including darkvision 60 feet and light sensitivity. If you already have darkvision, its range increases to 90 feet. Whenever you cast a spell that deals damage, that spell deals +1 point of damage per die rolled.

Let's say you're a Sorc/etc/Arcane Trickster with 2d6 sneak attack, and you cast scorching ray at a flatfooted creature within 30ft. Would you deal 4d6+2d6+4 or 4d6+2d6+6? Basically, do the sneak attack dice count as rolled dice for the bloodline's bonus damage?

I'm pretty sure you separate out the damage sources and they would not stack.

not sure tbh, sneak attack is the same damage type as the "delivery" method. a 2d6 sneak attack from a longsword is still slashing damage. so a 4d6 scorching ray with a 2d6 SA would be 6 damage die that would be affected by the Draconic / Orc bloodline. But the extra damage u'd get from the SA would not be doubled on a crit.

or 4d6+4+(2d6+2) on a hit and 8d6+8+(2d6+2) on a Crit.

BUT i am NOT sure if that's how it is.

The key phrase is "that spell deals +1 point of damage per die rolled." The spell damage is modified, not bonus dice from another source. Sneak attack damage is not spell damage, so it wouldn't get the benefit of the bloodline. The energy type the sneak attack is doing is irrelevant.

No, the sneak attack dice do not count for the bloodline's bonus damage. The sneak attack dice *are* bonus damage, along with the bloodline bonus - they don't stack on each other.

The spell deals 4d6. Sneak attack deals 2d6, and is of the same type as the 'weapon' delivering it. Sneak attack is not the spell's effect.

FYI - this did just make me realize that an white dragon bloodline sorcerer gets +5 damage when casting ice storm, not just +1 per cold die.

Huh, you're right. It applies to all dice from the spell; no matter what type of damage it deals... it only requires the descriptor of the spell itself to be the right kind. Nifty.
