Brodert Quink - clarification

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

if there are fewer than 3 cards in the location deck, then (a) do you just look at as many as there are or (b) can you not use his power since there's no 'legal target' for it?

I'd guess it's (a) but always nice to be sure!

We intend (a). But it does beg the question about whether you can play Brodert if there are zero cards, and we've ruled out exploring when there are zero cards, for example. Hmmm. We will discuss whether this needs an FAQ item.

Well, I don't think there's any advantage/reason to playing him on an empty location so I don't think it really matters.

(Cue 17 people coming up with marvelous reasons why they want to play him on an empty location...)

And 20 more going "Wait, you can't play Augury with 2 cards in the deck?"

Don't forget me asking does that mean if there's zero cards I can't play Detect Evil?

*Headdesk* I should have put *sarcasm* at the end of my post. H4ppy posted a sarcastic comment, and I followed with another one. Sorry that it brought confusion Nathaniel. Lord knows there's a plethora of people with too much confusion in this game as it is.

I think Nathaniel's comment might also have a silent *sarcasm* tag, but I thought less experienced wanderers who found this thread might appreciate my comment to clear it up!
