A terrible part of me wants to play a game where the Avengers are converted in Golarion archetypes. It's not a new idea, but I still think it would be a lot of fun with the right DM.
That said, this beautiful series of images shows what the team might look like, converted to a high fantasy setting. What do you all think?

Reminds me of when I made up Superheroes with Gestalt Rules:
IIRC, it was
Captain America - Cavalier/Fighter->Eagle Knight (Not a paladin to distinguish him more from the other characters I statted up as paladins)
Iron Man - Wizard/Fighter (Still not completely sure with this one. I went Heavily armored, with Fly and a lot of blasty Spells, but I feel I could have found something better)
Hulk - Barbarian/Monk(Martial Artist) (Solely because I couldn't find a better way to do the Unarmed Bruiser to complement the Barbarian. Brawler might work better, now that ACG is coming out)
Thor - Paladin/Oracle of Winds (Just fits on all counts)
Black Widow - Monk(Martial Artist)/Rogue (another one I feel I could have done better with, but I just couldn't seem to work out how to build her right)
Hawkeye - Ranger/Wizard-> Arcane archer
Outside of the Avengers:
Spider-man: Sorcerer/Monk (Sorcerer for web spells, Monk for unarmed/unarmored combat)
Wolverine: Barbarian(Beast totem)/Samurai (Barbarian nets Pounce, Natural Weapons, and Fast healing. Samurai for flavor)
Superman: Paladin/??? (can't remember the second class. I don't think it was Oracle, since I did that for Thor, though it might have been)
Didn't even try statting up Batman. He has class-levels in Batman.
The Question: Monk(Martial Artist)/Inquisitor
Fantastic 4: Fire, Water, Earth and Air Elementals (Johnny, Reed, Ben, and Sue, respectively) (It seemed apropos)
And for villains:
The Joker: Alchemist/Bard (Because can you really argue?)
Green Goblin: Goblin Bomber/??? (The first half was easy. I think the second half might have been rogue, but it almost didn't matter.)
Loki: Rogue/Wizard-> Arcane Trickster
Doomsday (Terrasque)
That's all I can remember, right now.

Gorgeous!
Hmmm.... if I were to stat them out....
Captain America - I'd probably go with Paladin with the Sacred Shield Archetype. Because LG guy with a magic shield and all. I agree with above that in a way cavalier would be better, but the mount ruins it for me.
Iron Man - Synthesist Summoner with the battlesuit being the eidolon
Hulk (or rather, Bruce Banner) - Alchemist with the vivisectionist and ragechemist archetypes and the Master Chymist prestige class.
Thor - Not sure, maybe LG Magus with a lightning theme?
Black Widow - This may seem weird, but I might go for bard, probably either the street performer archetype because of its deception and disguise themes, or the detective archetype because of true confession and eye for detail amongst other things. The bardic performances and spells help round out her versatility (IIRC in the comics she's a bit superhuman, just on the low end of the superhuman scale). Just add a good combat feat tree on top of it.
Hawkeye - Ranger or maybe if using ACG Slayer, with a dip in another class or trait to get him Acrobatics as a class skill.

Someone did a bunch already, which I thought were pretty good.
As for designs, I'd look at the George Perez designs early in Avengers vol. 3 (can't find a link right now), when they were all medieval-ized by Morgan Le Fey at the start of Kurt Busiek's run. :)

You might want to look at this facebook page. What's crunch without a setting?
Marvel Pathfinders The Age of Strange
created by Kyle Carmack & Clinton J. Boomer
Amazing. Uncanny. Astonishing. Fantastic. Incredible.
... so it must always begin.
It is an otherworldly time, in a universe unknown, yet in a place somehow oddly ... familiar.
An age of wonders, of magic, of steam-science, of mystery, of living gods and alien demons.
An age of paladins and sorcerers, of iron-men in flight, of morlocks and of inhumans.
A reflection of a world we know, yet cast back through a looking-glass most ... strange.
A time of Marvels, of Avengers, of Pathfinders, of Knights and Alchemists ... and Heroes.
It is your world, now. Your adventure – your legend – your glory – await you within these pages.
The World We Know:
Great Mannaton,
- AKA New Omsterdan, the Island-Glass City, the City of Broken Towers, City of Five Burroughs, Last City of Omyrka, City of the King-Skin, City of the Fantastic, Hellfire City
City Locations:
- Sanctum Sanctorum of The Ancient One Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme
This location, perhaps the best-known landmark in all the world, is easily the tallest structure in Mannaton, and is famed across a half-a-dozen continents for having survived without apparent harm the mysterious Event which long-ago changed the world. It is the primary source of all arcane knowledge in the cosmos; even the terrible and legendary iron-masked Green Wizards of Doom journey through the Mists of Atlantis in their great airships to study, personally, in the tower.
The Ancient One does not interfere in the day-to-day activities of the city, and in fact is rarely seen beyond the walls of the Sanctum.
- Holy Plaza of the Fantastic Fourteen –
The most commonly worshiped gods of men and inhumans alike are the pantheon called the Fantastic Fourteen; this holy plaza, which bears their name in ancient script in the shadow of their shattered tower, is also the site of the world’s largest underground catacombs, in which are said to dwell many quite mysterious beings and uncountable relics of forgotten ages.
Major shrines for worship are kept here to Reed and to his extended family, the beloved and feared gods of men; empty, more circumspect shrines are also established herein for He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, Gah-Lak-Tus the World Eater, and to his servant, the great Silver Centurion. In total, thirteen shrines are located here; the fourteenth, devoted as it is to Namor the Atlantean, God of Rage and Oceans, is located in the city’s harbor.
- Hellfire Club - (hidden)
Not all morlocks are hunters or hunted through the Savage Lands, or committed body and soul to the Empire of M; not all are offered a life of paradise in far-away Genosha, nor hidden in the conclave at the Fortress of Xavier in Graymalkin Pass. Some Morlocks build their own power within the city.
- Sky-Fortress of the Shield -
A magical flying ruin that keeps watch over the roiling waters beneath it, including the mysterious Isle of the Sundered Statue, this immense construction is called the Triskelion by the adherents of Paladin Omyrka and is considered near sacred by the one-eyed Furies of the Shield.
